    So Michael Kopech isn't in the discussion in the top 50 yet? If so he's someone I'd love us to target in round 2. Love his high leg kick and deceptive delivery. Has some plus movement on his breaking stuff already at age 17. worked low 90s but had a filthy looking 77mph changeup. Saw him in the Under Armor game at Wrigely and really liked what I saw. edit: see I'm not the only early Kopech fan here. :wave:

    Really excited to see Armando Rivero in our bullpen next year. Man he looks TAAALLLL. He's only listed at 6'4 but he looks like a freaking TOWER.

    That is so true. I honestly think he'll be a september '14 call up at the very latest at this point though. Even with a conservative FO like ours.

    yes, me too Me also. I started to re-warm to him after reading the Manny Ramirez piece. As it stands now, he's had a really great last week or so, and it will be exciting to watch him in AAA and just clasp hands and hope for the best while watching him. I certainly would like to see him end up being our 3B of the future. He's got the outstanding defense already, and the upside is not all completely gone yet.

    last 2 posts make sense and can give me an idea of how long. And that's right now I remember about that article. Whatever that cutoff date is, we can expect them to wait atleast that long.

    He had a great start recently (yeah I know, age appropriate). I'm thinking the FO wants to get him some extensive coaching in AAA, I'd say atleast a month. But what if Garza is traded within the next week? Do they have some filler like Rusin in there for a few starts, or does Jake take over immediately? I personally don't expect to see him pitch in the majors until mid August. What do you think?

    Since he said Cubs get minor league pitcher my guess is Sammy Solis. Has had injury problems but has upside. Just seems like the guy Theo would target (someone in the Nats 10-20 range is fair for Hairston).
