    Maybe if you pulled your pants up and stopped being a d*ck, we'd all be better off. Your life is very sad if your emotions are limited to people you know. I don't personally feel the need to make dick comments about dead people. But if you're emotions are effected by all the strangers in the world, you WILL be a very sad person.

    I hope this doesn't come off as insensitive but, really Matheny? You're fans aren't special you dick. Seriously I've seen nothing about an outpouring of grief from the Cubs fans. I thank him though for it only taking a day for me to be able to go back to hating the cardinals again. Thanks, jerk.

    Not that you should feel bad in any way, but people like you who live right there not going to any more games when they were the Cubs affiliate (vs. another MLB team) probably have something to do with them not investing in the stadium enough to "outbid" South Bend. I doubt it, Kane County drew pretty well this year. Plus working midnights and weekends makes it a teeny bit hard to make it out to games. So I only feel bad that I couldn't make it out to more games.

    a little sad. I mean I only went to 2 games to see Albert Almora. But never got around to even though I meant to catch Kyle Schwarber while he was there. Kane County is less than 5 minutes from me.

    Oh my God. You didn't have anything below. That was so funny. :clapping: Fair enough. Here's a couple reasons to sign Gomes 1. Every other Cubs outfielder retires from baseball 2. someone's been looking at a list of all time Cubs' players and realized that there aren't that many players whose names start with G. I don't get why the Cubs would go after a veteran OF who doesn't look to be appreciably better than the guys we already have. I don't need reasons, I just thought that was funny.

    With this news out it makes me look back to the Kane County move. As someone who lives close by, I know the location went into it. But is Kane County known to have good facilities for the players?

    I'll remain skeptical until he pitches his first game as a Cub. I remain skeptical until he pitches the final pitch for the final out in game 7 of the World series in which the Cubs win.

    If they don't spend big money this offseason there should be a coup I think they'll sign a guy that could be considered a headliner. It will be someone significant at a position of need.

    If they go after Lester? Fine. I just hope it's someone that's going to hold up well for 4+ years if they spend big money. To be honest, I'd love to try to get Shark back when he hits FA. Especially if he keeps up his performance. I like the youth of his arm better in a long term deal. Lester and shark, Either or both. Those are the 2 TOR types I have my hopes on.

    This front office actually has a few really good acquisitions for nothing more than a dump in a box. See: Valbuena, Luis. Turner, Jacob.

    He'll gonna come up and play 1B after rehab. Probably just so he's close to Chicago, rehab in kane over the weekend then take the drive to the big club.

    C Schwarber 1B Rizzo 2B Baez or Castro SS Russell 3B Bryant RF Soler CF Almora LF Mckinney Is my eventual dream line-up (not batting order). Which means you have to trade one of Castro or Baez. But that won't be enough for Stanton I don't think. I know this is all unlikely but that is who I like right now. And it's only to show my feeling we really don't need to trade for Stanton, we are going to have such a stacked line-up any way. I don't think our FO is going to trade for Stanton, but it's nice to talk about I guess.

    This is a good idea. Yeah I'd rather see Olt at 1B than someone like Valaika. As you said at least Olt COULD provide some decent trade value.
