  1. I never understood this. I've wondered this for a long time, and I need someone to clarify it for me. Why do most sports articles I've read have [] in them? What, did a player totally leave those words out, and the writer is inserting them back in? I mean, did Neifi actually say. . . In this case, Neifi probably said "he" where [Cedeno] is. Since it's not a full quote, the reader doesn't necessarily know who Neifi is talking about. So is it well known that [] = "we are replacing another word" ?? If so thanks for the clarification! It just got on my nerves not knowing! I still think it should be. .
  2. I know this might sound like sagreliege but I might actually skip a day of following Cubs ST game threads, and watch this game tommorow! Venuezela also faces off against Dominican Replublic today too, and it's on before USA vs. Mexico. Well Cubs baseball ain't on the air but atleast there is something fun, baseball related to watch instead! Wow nice line-up for USA. Go Dlee!! Prediction, USA will crush Mexico. Mexico just doesn't have the calibur of offense to match team USA.

  4. Did they just mention the poster on NSBB that loves strippers, or did they specifically name Vance? :P Seriously, why were they mentioned on the broadcast? Because they were asked to be mentioned? Sorry you just missed it. Read the entire thread if you want to know.
  5. From sticking it somewhere you shouldn't. Eww. I better stop doing that.
  6. This proves Dlee is a god.
  7. I like your avatar. I remember seeing that vid on AMFHV. Do you have a link the the video? I think that's my favorite AMFHV ever! Specially Bob Saget's voice over.
  8. Hmm... well I guess they probably don't update those until game time is near or something. *shrug* I dunno. Hopefully it'll be on. That's what I thought when ST was about to start. I since found out it is a slimy trick to get people to sign up to MLB.tv. Take this for example. One of the games, I think it was game 1 or 2 against the mariners. You'd think it was on MLB.tv right? According to their sneaky little trick. But if you looked at the Cubs.com and Mariners TV broadcast schedule. NEITHER team was covering it via TV feed. So how do you suppose it can be shown on MLB.tv? Did they plan to buy some camera's just to tape ONE spring training game for only TWO of the teams? And sure enough came the game, and no broadcast on MLB.tv. That's when I decided not to give them my money this year. I opted to spend that same money on trying out DirectTV HDTV instead. Thanks for listening to my rant. :) But for what it's worth. I think you can hear alot of the games not avaialable in Cubsland, via MLB audio subscription for $14.95 a year. Because as long as the OTHER team has an audio broadcast, you can atleast listen in to the other teams feed to follow the game.
  9. No you have it backwards. When they LOOSE weight after last year they were on steroids. If they GAIN weight this year they are not, since the new steroid policy would deter them from that.
  10. Who cares. It will be on TV, WOHOOO!! (just kidding, I'll probably turn the sound down and listen to the radio if len and bob Sox it up, but that's unlikely!)
  11. Good luck Jerome!! =D> (I really want him to do good, I prefer him as a #4 over Rusch. He's just coming into his potential while Rusch just had a lucky year).
  12. I called it. Thank ya vary maaaaaach! 8) cookie? Yes please! :D
  13. I called it. Thank ya vary maaaaaach! 8) Maybe Jones is really determined to rebound, maybe he really CAN do it. Time will tell. But I'm keeping an eye on this guy.
  14. Just nice to have baseball, isn't it? I can't wait for the next Cubs ST game on Saturday.
  15. Regular ESPN. 206 directtv. On now until around 4:00 a.m.
  16. Fearless prediction: Jones continues to look good.
  17. Great game today!! (and I came here to read the whole thread to see what you all had to say!!) I especially liked the inning where Murton and Cedeno both hit to score a run! And when Pierre Bunted to get on 1st moving everyone over in the process!! I can deffinatly see this team playing small ball, SUCCESSFULLY this year. And I'm looking foward to more of that! I know it's just 1 ST game, but they looked good. Maybe they actually CAN score that guy from 3rd with less than 2 outs! If they can start doing that, we are gonna be in good shape this year!
  18. I'm always up late, so I thought I'd just leave it on ESPN. Japan vs. Taiwan I beleive right? Anyone else up? I'll watch anything baseball related because I need my baseball fix after that long winter!
  19. ESPN s0x0Rz.
  20. It's kind of pointless for me since they don't show any games the Cubs are in (or a Cubs team member) that aren't broadcast around here anyway. That would have been my incentive, if they had ALL CUbs ST this year. Since they don't, I opted to try this HDTV all the hubbub is about.
  21. I'm gonna skip this year and save the $100. I'll use that $100 for signing up to Direct TV HD instead so I can enjoy some HD games. I've only got an old panny 42" HDTV but it should still look good.
  22. Well I checked tommorow which according to the schedule page you'd think all games were posted on mlb.tv. But on Seatle's page Friday, March 3 vs Cubs 12:05 PM radio KOMO THEY aren't broadcasting it, so I've deducted there is no way it could be on mlb.tv I'm glad I came here first. MLB isn't going to swindle me out of my money.
  23. Well I'll wait until tommorow then to sign up, they were closed when I called today. I want to hear their word about it. If they don't broadcast every Cubs ST game, then they can forget my money this year. You'd think with all the different teams playing, when one team doesn't broadcast locally, the other one would. So they'd then have the broadcast available to stream. But whatever.
  24. That's what it looks like. I am going to look at some of the other teams ST broadcast schedules to see if it matches with the games the Cubs don't broadcast. I really do want to watch the Cubs play all their games this ST and mlb.tv seems to be the way to do it!
  25. It seems as though if you have mlb.tv you can watch even the spring training games that aren't on WGN tv or radio. Is this true? The front Cubs page advertises "spring training games included" and if you go to cubs.com schedule all of the spring training games have a little "mlb.tv" link on them. I just want to make sure because I am going to sign up just so I can watch all the Cubs spring training games. I have waited long enough for baseball and I'm not going to be miss a game because they are too stingy to put them all on TV!! Is anybody else doing the same thing? I wasn't able to contact customer service today so I was just wondering does it sound like you can really watch all Cubs ST games on mlb.tv??
