    John Holmes didn't make very good choices. Let's say Peter North instead. John Dough. Let's just start at Reed Rothchild and hope for the best. John Dough was an actual dude though. I thought he was the upstart brought in to replace Dirk when he got coked out of his mind. My knowledge of real porn dudes is kind of exhausted after Holmes and North.

    I'm not implying anything; I'm definitively declaring that they didn't score as much as they should have and I'm saying that their performance in that game doesn't point to any kind of larger improvement for the rest of the season.

    Apparently you're so broken by your teams always letting you down you're going to hang your hat on the Bears beating the Viking on 11/16/14 as the last time you knew joy. You just can't get over being ridiculously wrong in public, can you? Unless I said they lost last week I'm not sure how I'm "wrong" in thinking it was an obvious aberration in how they've performed this year and in being let down that they didn't score more. Please, tell me what I missed by not watching that I couldn't have seen in the game stats. Yeah but that's not what you've been saying. ... Yes, the joke all along has been about how bad the Bears' offense is, not about your ability to watch a game or who knows what you think it is. What is one thing offensively that I wouldn't have seen in the stats and replays that made them look better?

I have no idea what he's basing it on because the yards don't matter and the eye test can't because he didn't see it. Ah yes, we call this the Derwood movie review. Team racks up big offensive numbers minus big points against a shitty team at home. Team has ranged from hugely disappointing to terrible all season. Big offensive numbers minus big points in one game doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot to me in terms of pointing to them getting better or showing signs of life. The big numbers were seasonal aberrations.
