    I will compromise and say that the band part of Pearl Jam is pretty damn good but that Eddie Vedder is one of the worst singers ever. And that one dude in the band wore (wears) some pretty crazy hats.

    They were still underwhelming, given the expectations of the offense and that they were playing the [expletive] Vikings. the peripherals were good. Still not putting up the points. We're deep in the season now, so arguing that it SHOULD have been better is ringing pretty hollow. like i said before, if you want to talk outcomes, the bears won. assuming that they're going to put up that kind of offensive performance again and not score more than 21 points is probably wrong. it wasn't like they won ugly. if they would have lost, it would have rung hollow, but they deserved to win and they did. It wasn't ugly ugly, but it was give 'em a cashmere sweater with a dot on it-ugly.

    I honestly had no idea that this station existed. A third sports station in town seems like it should have been an obviously terrible idea.

    He still has to be at the ballpark though, and he has kids. Part of the equation may be which schedule allows him to see his kids more often (which is debatable). Or Schilling could simply be blowing smoke out of his ass as usual. According to Maddon, he's pretty lax on when players report to the park. Uh-oh, you just set off the Kaplan-Signal.

    Like David said, the demand should pick up as the team improves; the service that the Cubs provide themselves for selling tickets works pretty well. If it's still sluggish in terms of demand next year I recommend donating many of the tickets to charity so you can at least recoup a bit of the cost via taxes.
