    I know a lot of people here are already familiar with this great site, but I just wanted to give a heads up that the Cubs "star" in the latest update, but once that strip goes into the archive, everyone would have missed the message on the main page... And here's the strip... http://progressiveboink.com/dugout/archive/dugout5-7-06.htm I'm surprised they missed the oh-so-obvious "[expletive]" angle. Sorry if there's a Dugout thread already...I searched and found some mentions of the site, but that was about it.

    The kids needed a break some time. Might as well do it now when there's no sign of the slump ending.

    True...and for what's it worth, Jacque Jones seems to have remebered how to hit a baseball, at least for over a week now. AND, he doesn't have the pinkest bat in the league. Plus, Walker still has less errors at 1st base this year than Lee does.

    So they were going to continue to average that for the rest of the season? I think you mean they're only going to score 5 runs TOTAL for the rest of the season. Man, imagine how awesome those runs are going to be.

    Clearly, a healthy Lee's presence in the dugout is the equivalent of the monolith appearing before primitive man in 2001. Stats cannot contain the power and wisdom he shares! Without him, you just get Neifi beating Blanco to death with a jawbone. The horror...the HORROR!

    At this point, the only good the team's much vaunted "speed" can hopefully do is end these late night west coast games a little quicker before I go to bed furious and betrayed. LOSE FASTER!

    Probably the only time in my life I've been glad to not be living in Chicago. Blech.
