I'm 26 and I honestly think I'm going to die of old age without seeing the Cubs even MAKE it to a World Series. Why should I think any differently? How many millions of people were positive and optimistic in the face of such overwhelming futility over the last near-century? Why should I be any more different or special than any of them? This management of this team has set a course for failure year after year since the Tribune bought it, and nobody who can do anything about it seems to care. I resisted the call for some time now, but I'm officially leaping over to the "Tribune sell the Cubs NOW" bandwagon. Yeah, the new owner(s) could be worse just as much as they could be better...but I need to see some kind of change on that level for it to seem like the Cubs could reach the playoffs again, much less a WS. On a side note, looking for pictures on Google Image Search under the words "Cubs suck" brings up a disturbing amount of gay porn.
