Unless there's a move that's made where Castillo is the backup next year, Ross would be a very good addition. Backup catchers, as a rule, are terrible, so getting a strong receiver like Ross who at least in the past has shown some ability to not embarrass himself at the plate is basically all you can hope for. Hes no worse than Baker Dude, we're all still waiting for a follow up on the whole Kenya thing.

Shouldn't guys with greater range make more throwing errors? Yeah, this seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy-kinda thing; he puts himself in the position to make more throwing errors because of the balls he can get to that so many others can't.
