To put it in perspective, in his prime, Dunn was so bad defensively that he usually peaked around a 3 win player (what Rizzo is right now). He had one 4.9 win season in 04 in which his defensive numbers were flukishly not that bad for some reason. I'm not sure Abreu is THAT bad in the field, but it seems plausible from what I read. Everyone knows how Dunn's defense impacted his value. Unless Abreu's value is SO bad that he can't even play 1B without it dragging him way down then I'd still rather they look to him to man 1B for the foreseeable future as opposed to Rizzo.
