  1. I'd love, love, love to have Stoops. Easily my #1 choice. You and me both. you two should start a club. You're welcome to join.

  3. A source says Bob Stoops "would be interested in talking to the Irish".
  4. I don't know if I would've gone for it but I also can't kill Belichick for the decision. Peyton still had 1 timeout plus 2 minutes to go probably 75 yards. I would've bet my firstborn on him doing that if he punted the ball.
  5. Miami is ranked ahead of UNC when they lost to them 24 hours ago. Polls make no sense. you wonder if/when the BCS formula will start moving more towards the computer polls and away from the human polls I believe that computer polls should be 100% of the BCS. Not the way they're currently structured, they shouldn't. If they bring back margin of victory into the computers then sure. But not the way the computers are set up now. The computers as of now are basically structured to look like human polls. True computer polls absolutely should be 100 percent of the BCS.
  6. Lechler had to punt 11 times today. Anyone want to bet on how that compares to Anderson's line tomorrow against the Ravens? I would bet barring an injury that Anderson goes 0/0 tomorrow night.

  8. Miami is ranked ahead of UNC when they lost to them 24 hours ago. Polls make no sense.
  9. Jordan Gross broke his ankle to join Thomas Davis as All-Pro Panthers that are done for the year. Travelle Wharton, his replacement, is one of the worst linemen in the entire league. This is not good.
  10. A Carolina win will only get your hopes up for the season which the Panthers will likely dash next week. vs Miami on Thursday night, @ Jets Thanksgiving weekend, vs Bucs the next three. Damn it Panthers, you might just suck me in again. I really don't see the Panthers making the playoffs. They'll have to be a WC, and I don't see them making above the other teams. Probably not. I'm just excited to possibly have meaningful football to watch in December. Our running game has really come back to life the last month. I just hope Jordan Gross and Steve Smith are ok.

  12. 3 and out thanks to the penalty machine Travelle Wharton, Weems takes the punt into Carolina territory. God, we are so predictable. Chance to ice the game and can't get one [expletive] first down. ETA: Marshall picks off Matty Ice! Thank the Lord.
  13. Elam missed the FG! 6:35 to go. Please finish this Carolina.
  14. November Panthers' opponents 47, November Panthers 9 so far in second halfs. 21-19 Carolina clinging to a lead.
  15. The real Jake Delhomme has apparently been taken captive and he's been replaced by a lookalike who is really, really good at being a quarterback.

  17. $14 million for the Big East if Pitt makes a BCS bowl. Don't embarrass yourself like this. chop block call didn't seem questionable. but really bad officiating (not just against nd, but in many games) + clear incentive for the conferences (that pay the officials) doesn't make you raise an eyebrow? The best part was that he said "the ruling on the field is a fumble", as if they hadn't waved their arms incomplete a hundred times prior to the review. What happened there was either incompetence or corruption and either way it needs to be addressed. And in case it needs reiteration, we would have lost anyway and I care a lot less about that than I do about the pattern and its needing to be stopped.
  18. $14 million for the Big East if Pitt makes a BCS bowl. Don't embarrass yourself like this. Look, we shouldn't win either way and since it was gonna be 4th and 16, probably wouldn't have anyway. But there's a huge pattern this season with hideous review decisions.
  19. 2nd week in a row they've reviewed a dead ball situation and turned it into a fumble even though there's no precedent for that being allowed. I really don't care because we don't deserve to win, but that's [expletive].
  20. $14 million for the Big East if Pitt makes a BCS bowl.
  21. They already called a chop block, which I never see called on anyone else, to submarine the drive, so now they're going to try and call a fumble here on Jimmy, when there's no way the ball could have had a fumble to make the ball go that way.
  22. Thanks for all those replays, ABC.
  23. Golden Tate is a man.
  24. I love Clausen. Fighting his ass off for a lost cause. He deserves better.
  25. I would bet my life on a 6-6 finish. Stone-cold lock.
