to be fair, the bullpen probably would've given up some runs anyway. Then you make them give up runs instead of letting our 2nd-year major leaguer, who's had to work hard the last 2 innings, go over the 100 pitch mark for no real reason. oh i agree, but we saw it with dempster and now with wells, lou has no confidence in the pen so he's going to ride his starters longer than he should. The sad thing is that crappy pen just got Braun and Fielder in 3 pitches, but they'd have to be lights-out til July for Lou to change his mind about them. He's a lunatic.
