  1. I have to believe one of the earliest people to use the expression "There are no words" was probably speaking in response to something almost exactly like that. It is awesome in its sheer badness. It is so truly horrible that I feel like it will be ironically embraced.
  2. Take it for what it's worth because this is just my podunk TV station in South Bend reporting this. http://www.wndu.com/sports/headlines/92447574.html
  3. My fantasy team appreciates that hack, Fuku.
  4. The 6 was their spot in his random power rankings from the playoffs.
  5. no He's actually been worse. If not for a wind-aided double, his OPS would probably be below .400.
  6. It's alright guys, the wind blows out for both teams. Oh, wait, we can't hit. Damn.
  7. David Freese is 3/3 with 6 RBIs in St. Louis.
  8. That was just stupidity. They've been in the same league now for 3+ years, common sense would tell you they faced each other.
  9. So is it typical of the Diamondbacks to do the same? I wouldn't know, since they rarely play here and even more rarely do so when the wind is howling out.
  10. It's pretty typical of the Cubs to completely fail to make solid in-the-air contact when the wind is as loud as Len has ever heard it.
  11. The answer to this and just about any related lineup question is that Lou Piniella is neither smart nor imaginative. I wish he'd put Soto 5th or 6th in the order, but he just won't. I would offer that batting either of Lee/Ramirez 7th isn't conducive to either of them busting out, IMO.

  13. Name complaints rescinded, then. I still don't like him. :P
  14. Haha yeah I heard it, also you could hear Ron laugh a little when Pat started talking about Miles. Ron kinda snorted when Pat said the word 'nothing', you know he was thinking "you're damn right he did nothing".
  15. His name is spelled Jaime, and my personal favorite thing about him is that they pronounce it Hy-May. Rare to get the doubly douchey misspelling-a-name-on-purpose-to-be-different combined with attaching a douchey pronunciation to it. I already can't stand him.
  16. Crosby could sit the next couple weeks and the Penguins would probably still make the finals. Wow.
  17. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=527392 Round 2 schedules. Lots and lots of night hockey in the West that I will be watching.
  18. We're very territorial about the game of basketball and it's natural that we'd gravitate towards thinking the Earthling is the better player.
  19. If I ran this team Lou Piniella would be fired today and Trammell would be interim manager. That is inexcusably stupid.
  20. Tracy pinch-hit for Hill. Not Soto. It may be up there with the dumbest managing I've ever seen in my life.
  21. Two pinch-hitters in a row and neither one of them are the MLB leader in OBP, who just happens to be on our bench. Lou, you are a senile old [expletive].
  22. Soto is coming into the game anyway and he GETS ON BASE OVER HALF THE [expletive] TIME HE HITS. What is wrong with you, Lou?????
