  1. Pretty solid game all around so far. Good to see the Bulls able to do it without Rose dominating the game.
  2. I'll take credit for Theriot. Dropped him in a fantasy league this week after a cold streak and he promptly started destroying the ball. Picked him back up today.
  3. FUN FACT: Our #8 hitter's OPS, BEFORE that homer, was 1.110.
  4. TBS blackout here as I suspected, even though the TV guide doesn't corroborate it. Lame.
  5. The Broncos get an A, the Panthers get a C, and Rick Gosselin gets a WTF.
  6. Using both of my pre-ASG transactions now... Drop Reimold, add Rasmus Drop Sizemore, add McGehee
  7. Didn't Southpaw engineer the 7-game win streak in 2007 that turned our season around? If the Cubs win tomorrow it seems like he has a good shot of pulling another one with Washington in town next.
  8. Here's a link
  9. I think Milwaukee's announcers are pretty solid, or at least Anderson is. Colorado's are ok too. But it has been a while since I watched another team's announcers since I didn't get MLBTV this year. No point since I can't get Cubs games.
  10. But really any player drafted by Detroit could be called Mr. Irrelevant Ndamukong Suh will kill your family for saying that. 8-)
  11. OMC has seen him more, but McCluster is extremely agile and quick and appears to be a good receiver out of the backfield. Due to his size, I don't see him as a feature back but he can be a playmaker out of the backfield and split wide at WR. He doesn't have a ton of straight line speed, but once he gets the ball he's really hard to bring down. Tennessee had a very good defense last year and McCluster sliced us up for 324 total yards. He can be very similar, I think, to Reggie Bush. Supposedly they have said he is a WR. I would like to say they would get creative and use all kinds of motion bringing him into the backfield sometimes and keeping him split out wide but I believe Charlie is his OC I don't see him getting creative. Heh? Charlie Weis is absolutely nothing as an offensive coordinator if not creative. He runs a pretty standard pro style offense. He doesn't use gimmicks are stray from the normal stuff. He's creative in the sense that he will switch up from running a ton to passing a ton at any time. I, however, didn't see much in the way of being revolutionary and getting extremely creative to get one specific player the ball. I'm not sure he will change his ways to get a unique player like McCluster the ball in a variety of ways. He'll probably run some reverses but that is about it and that is a pretty typical way to get a WR like McCluster the ball. This is really weird of you to say considering the ND/Purdue game last year was probably the biggest example of how creative he can be. With Floyd out and Clausen not playing he went Wildcat-crazy and moved Golden Tate everywhere on the field to make sure Purdue couldn't stop him, the only playmaker we had on the field, from getting the football. If McCluster proves to be as good a weapon in the pros as he was at Ole Miss, he will get the ball in any number of ways.
  12. Shark to Iowa for Lilly according to Sullivan. Probably back to rotation down there. Thank God.
  13. The Panthers drafted Tony Pike earlier. We've picked 2 QBs and 3 WRs in this draft, which couldn't be more out of character. Greg Hardy was a good pick in round 4 though.

  15. Jimmy Howard is having to face a lotta shots.
  16. Were it not for Carolina's trade I'd give their draft thus far an A++. As it is I'll give them an A-. You can't do much better than to get 1st round value in the 2nd and 2nd round value in the 3rd. We got - hopefully - our #2 wideout and - hopefully - our franchise quarterback, and hey, maybe Edwards will set the world on fire, who knows.
  17. Carolina consistently makes good draft picks in the first couple of rounds, even and especially when I disagree with them. So the fact that they keep dumping those picks is...disconcerting.
  18. I still want Gilyard for Carolina though I would be shocked if he fell that far at this point. He'd be a nice pick for a team needing WRs right now.
  19. NE, as usual, brilliantly jumping on guys who fell because of workouts.
  20. Good spot for Tate. Seattle could use a playmaker.
  21. I think Colt McCoy was, at worst, the 3rd best QB in this draft, and very undervalued. Someone will get a nice mini-steal here soon.
  22. Do they ever really have a bad one?
  23. I feel like Goodell was walking up there thinking "Well, this guy's getting suspended within 2 years."
  24. I also have a Panthers fan friend who hates him. He's disowning the front office right now. Screw him. This is fantastic. Schefter says we were hot after the 33rd pick to take Clausen. No need.
  25. Mort says Clausen. Mort. Says. Clausen.
