  1. Wittenmeyer and Muskat are confirming that Castro's 6 RBI are the most ever in a major league debut.
  2. Alright, Carlos Silva. Enough of this.
  3. Holy beans, this kid is [expletive] good.
  4. NSBB will blow up if Castro goes yard here
  5. I think Castro is getting lots of respect. I also think it's foolish to declare the debate over whether he should be up over because he's had 2 great ABs to start his career.
  6. After this half-inning, I believe.
  7. Thom Brenneman is a self-loathing loser would be the #1 reason that came to mind. But what brought it about was the trivia answer that Aramis was the Cubs' leader in hits last decade, prompting Brennaman to say that he would have guessed him or Lee...and then off he went.
  8. He is still talking about it. He also said that a grounder "went through the legs" of Alex Gonzalez. What a prick.
  9. Thom Brennaman just reminisced about the great NLCS between the Cubs and Marlins in 2006. Thom Brennaman broadcast that NLCS.
  10. 6th Cub to homer in his first AB. The last one was, oddly enough, pitcher Jim Bullinger.
  11. How 'bout an RBI in your first major league AB, kid?
  12. Huge strike zone being called by the home plate ump.
  13. That could be the motto of the "Girlfriends of Baseball Fans" club.
  14. All by Johan Franzen. Not bad for 60 percent of one period.
  15. Lou won't be fired, so please don't waste any of your time hoping for it.
  16. Yes, this as well.
  17. The fact that the 2nd best Bull of all time is Jordan's sidekick, and that the Bulls haven't had any notable talents recently, has nothing to do with the shadow of Jordan and a lot to do with the ineptitude of the Bulls' front office the last 12 years.
  18. Is this a serious post? In the last 7 days he is hitting .381 with an OPS of 1.173. He's 1 for his last 6, but I think you may be jumping the gun a little (assuming you are serious). He's probably poking fun at IMB's ongoing "Byrd is hurt" storyline.
  19. Soriano holds a 2.500 OPS in 10 May ABs and if he homers tomorrow will join Hack Wilson, Ryno and Sosa as the only Cubs to homer five straight games.
  20. Wojnarowski says that Calipari is interested in the Bulls' job.
  21. When was the last time you can think of an NBA team that you'd say won the title because of coaching? The Spurs? I wouldn't entirely discount an argument for the Celtics in '08. Pistons in '04 have a pretty nice case. Any Spurs title would be a good argument, and the Pistons wouldn't be bad either. The Celtics would not. They had the most talent, rather easily.
