  1. Not that it matters because Michigan would get picked over either one of them, but that would make the loser of the B1G title game eligible too, correct? Barring some sort of blowout, anyway.
  2. Nice crapfest in Indy today, Carolina. This team's not capable of easily beating anyone. The Shockey fumble was practically preordained.
  3. The only conference title game with that type of mismatch I can recall is Texas/Colorado in 05 (when the Horns won 70-3 or something). That'd be the only one that would come close, I'd think.
  4. Cap space or no cap space, I'm just glad my one decent sports team will have a season.
  5. The three SB area teams in Indiana all got smacked around, with my alma mater, Penn, capping it all off with a 54-0 annihilation at the hands of Carmel. Penn has lost their last two state trips by a score of 101-7 (and the 7 was a garbage-time score). Seems like they should just award the title to whoever comes out of the Indianapolis area.
  6. Tim Abromaitis out for the season. NIT might not even be guaranteed for ND now. On the bright side, they smeared something called Bryant and are still unbeaten in their creampuff games without him.
  7. Hiring a MAC coach isn't in itself a bad idea (see Hoke, Meyer, etc). Hiring a guy who never had a regular season better than 7-5 in the MAC, yeah, that might not be so smart.

  9. Well done taking a 10 or 11-win team (and just as importantly, a 10 or 11-win schedule) and coaching them to 8, Mr. Kelly. Three different QBs started halves this year without any injury involved. Ugh.
  10. They'll request - and likely get - a waiver to go to a bowl despite going 6-7. The MAC tried that when 6-6 Miami (OH) went to the MAC title game and lost, and it didn't work. Might have more luck with a more marquee program though.
  11. I'm not worried about the Colts game just because I don't think they can stop Cam, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Carolina finds a way to lose. Only favored by 4 though, if you're more confident than I, that's a good bet.
  12. ...Cam's having a phenomenal season, unless i'm to hold it against him that all of his defense besides the DEs is either injured or terrible His TD/INT ratio is too poor for me to call it phenomenal. 4 more picks today. But yes, we need to use our top 5 draft pick on defense. The only question is which horrible defensive unit we spend it on.
  13. Mizzou fans, what should I expect to see tomorrow night? I know very little of your team and I'm not sure what to make of ND yet either, especially with Abromaitis in his first game back.
  14. Yeah, that was really bad. ND wasn't going to beat Stanford anyway, but any thought of it probably went up in smoke now that we've only got one RB for that game. That means Kelly's going to unleash Rees, which could mean 4 or 5 INTs instead of just 1 or 2. Why do you think ND had no shot against Stanford? I'm not sure Stanford is all that great. They don't have to be. Rees hasn't improved in the slightest, despite playing well into the 4th in almost every game. Kelly must have banked on him improving throughout the year and it just hasn't happened. Teams drop 8-9 guys and make him throw into coverage b/c he can't run, can't zip the ball, and can't throw deep. Gray (guy who blew out his knee) had outperformed Wood for about 8 weeks and gave ND 2 quality RBs. Now we have a junior and 2 true freshman at RB. It's not going to be pretty. Doesn't matter. At either 8 or 9 wins, ND is going to the Champs Sports bowl. There you go, UMFan. Mariner described it more eloquently than I would have but that's it in a nutshell. And as for Rees, God, does ND ever need Hendrix or (more likely) Golson to take the starting job from Rees in the off-season. With him at QB, ND's ceiling is 8 or 9 wins.
  15. Sorry Bears fans. If it helps, we did give you a win by stupidly kicking to Devin Hester repeatedly. God, this team stinks. I know Cam is having an ok season and he's just a rookie and blah blah blah, but the bottom line is we're gonna win 3 or 4 games. That's pitiful.

  18. Robert Griffin III should be right with all the other top names in the Heisman discussion. Not his fault his D is awful. Dude just went for almost 500 yards, 4 TD and 0 INT against Oklahoma and led the GW TD drive in 50 seconds.
  19. I just don't see how Arkansas could possibly beat the undisputed #1 team in the country and not move up in the polls at all. There is no right answer, it seems like.
  20. It doesnt matter (for the SEC title game) if Arkansas jumps LSU because they would still lose due to losing the H2H game with Bama earlier this year. Yeah, I forgot to note that. Arkansas would only need to jump Bama, not LSU. The question would become whether 1-loss Arkansas's victory over 1-loss LSU would be good enough to override their loss to 1-loss Bama in that situation for the voters. Talk about a conundrum.
  21. It'd be weird if 1-loss Arkansas beat 1-loss LSU and didn't jump them. Understandable perhaps because of LSU's schedule, but very weird. Stoops appears to be going for 2 in Waco, down by 1 after a TD.
  22. Arkansas would have to jump Bama to make it. The SEC 3-way tiebreaker eliminates the lowest-ranked BCS team and is head to head between the highest 2. It's actually much more possible - even likely - now that Oregon and possibly Oklahoma are getting out of their way.
  23. I wonder if Okla St could even be within reach of getting a 'no-rematch' vote if they beat Oklahoma at this point.
  24. Baylor up 14. Joe Tessitore singlehandedly destroying Bedlam.
