    I'm jealous of Carolina's pick. He must be good if he's from Midwestern State and getting taken in round 2. We draft a lot of guys from no-name schools and none of them have panned out to this point, but I guess a 311-pound O-lineman is always a good start.

    You've got a great future in the erik arts. I don't walk around predicting doom and gloom. It's not hard to predict a home run on a 3-1 pitch to a slugger from a pitcher who has no clue what he's doing. That was my only point.

    Yeah, and Darwin Barney should never field another routine ground ball in a Cubs uniform. If not for the stupid Marlin grounding into a DP, I'm not sure Dolis would have thrown one effective strike all night. He really hasn't had much control or command in any of his appearances. Give someone else a shot. Sorry, but he has had less than ten innings in the majors. He's easily our best option to stick long-term. Let him have his growing pains and learn. Thank you. He'd better start throwing strikes. Nothing is more annoying than a pitcher who doesn't throw strikes. That Hanley homer was so predictable I called it before the pitch.

    May 5, 2000, Cubs vs Pirates. My 8th grade class took a class trip to Chicago for the day. We arrived late for the game (one of my biggest pet peeves, but I wasn't running things that day so I had no choice), but we didn't miss much. Cubs lost 4-2, Sosa and Eric Young homered and Kevin Tapani took the loss. Still a great day.

    I for one am shocked that Random Scrub X that is playing for injured Berkman (who himself was washed up 2 years ago before he signed in STL) is raking on us.

    His dad is their announcer, his opinion is not objective. Thom is their TV announcer as well. What a worthless sack of crap. Glad I missed today's game

    Well, Michael Floyd managed to make even Rees look good for quick stretches last year. I worry there's nobody there to bail whoever it is (probably Rees if you believe the local pundits) out this year like that. But your point is well taken.

    I'm very excited he got a waiver. I think Kelly should abandon the spread and just run a Woody Hayes offense with the disparity in talent between our QBs and RBs. I'm more worried about the WR position than the QB one, myself (not that I'm not also worried about the QBs)
