  1. [expletive], if he goes to Ball State then IU will never beat them.... Damn, he'd be a nice get for my alma mater, spazziness and all.
  2. Speaking as a fan of a team that got one of them, I wish you'd gotten all 3.
  3. It's incredible how just about all of the 1-seed candidates have at least one inexplicable loss on their resume. IU's the only one I can think of without a really terrible one (road losses to Illinois and Minnesota are nothing to be ashamed of).
  4. I think I had Creighton as a lock, but agreed that neither one is really all that impressive.
  5. I just completed my lists for next week (haven't sent them in so I can make adjustments as needed based on this weekend's results) and I can't believe how many locks I have.
  6. @NickFriedell Bulls PR says Boozer had a personal matter to deal with and will be back tomorrow. So no games missed, if that's right. Well that's better then. My mind went straight to suspension.
  7. What's up with Boozer? "Not presumed to be injury-related" says @KCJHoop. That can't be good.
  8. I'll do the Panthers again.
  9. I know this doesn't answer your question at all, but does Noah count as a star at this point? Not sure if he's a star, but considering his skills and fairly reasonable salary, I imagine he'd be in demand if the Bulls wanted to go that route.
  10. E, F and C are my favorites.
  11. Isn't lunardi pretty awful at this though? I mean he gets most of the teams right, but he's not all that accurate. He's awful. We destroy him every year and our work consists of some PM's and like 4 hours of research per committee member for a week.
  12. Oh yeah, why is the most recognizable Catholic school in the country not going to play in this conference? The ACC is a better home for ND's non-football and men's basketball sports.
  13. I really don't understand how this is going to work. So in addition to the Catholic bloc, potentially SLU, Dayton and Creighton, there will also be Louisville, Rutgers, USF, Connecticut, Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Navy, San Diego State, Memphis and Boise? Or have most of those schools fallen through? The Big East is such a mess and I can't keep up with it. The soon-to-be-ex-Big East will still include the teams in the latter group (until Louisville and Rutgers bolt of course). They'll be a different conference and won't be affiliated with the Catholic 7/Big East. The most important part to me is that it means ND will probably manage to get to the ACC this off-season, though remaining in the soon-to-be-ex-Big East is still a (hopefully remote) possibility, as is playing one season in the Catholic 7/Big East if joining the ACC can't happen this summer.
  14. Catholic 7 (plus an undetermined number of teams) will keep the Big East name and most likely start play next season, per ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
  15. It kinda is when they've gone on record to say that it would be. I guess that would be the first time a sports team's owner hasn't been completely up-front about something, so you're right. Yea, Ricketts is a regular Loria. Also, what are you so mad about? I'm not mad. I just think those who want a jumbotron should be prepared for it not to be a straightforward replay-and-ads screen, because they never are.

  17. Can I ask why, assuming they stick to their word and aren't doing any terrible annoying kiss-cam type stuff and are just using it for stats, replays, and ads? Because they won't stick to their word. No jumbotron in the history of stadiums ever has been bereft of stupid crap. The Cubs have been the only stadium without a jumbotron for a really long time, so why wouldn't they be able to have the only jumbotron without stupid crap? When every jumbotron ever has been used for garbage, the burden of proof is not on me to explain why the Cubs' wouldn't be any different.

  19. I don't want a jumbotron, but it's probably inevitable at this point. Any changes to the road uniform I'm in favor of, but I'd prefer to keep the home unis the way they are.
  20. Wtf. Do the players think these look good? From Twitter posts, ND players seem to love them. (Not that they'd say they hated them in a public forum.)
  21. Adidas is terrible. I've hated every special uniform Michigan has worn. They all look like something the Harlem Globetrotters would wear. I honestly wish Michigan went back to Nike (but stayed away from any pro combat uniforms). Michigan's special uniforms have been bad, but on the scale of terrible things Adidas has done to college sports jerseys it's barely a blip. Count yourself lucky, my friend.
  22. Michigan reportedly said 'thanks but no thanks' to this idea. I'm not sure if others had the choice (UM does have that 'most favored nation' clause with Adidas) or if they're just too dumb.
  23. Adidas continues trolling college sports fans. Seriously, I haven't seen a single one of these 'specialty' uniforms on any team that hasn't looked like absolute garbage. It's becoming funny at this point.
  24. There are only three major-conference teams with one league win: South Florida, TCU and Penn State. Their wins were over Georgetown, Kansas and Michigan, respectively - all Top 10 teams. Weird year.
  25. Really? Alexander was real solid in 2012 and I don't recall any talk about that condition (this is the first I've heard of it so it clearly didn't bother him much). If it's the same condition I wouldn't worry about it.
