  1. Oh god, Cesar Izturis is just the kind of player who would win this thing.
  2. FSN Ohio managed to show the Bartman play, so there's that. Of course they did. Thom Brennaman is an abortion of a human being.
  3. Joakim Noah is a [expletive] boss. Awesome.
  4. Multiple reports say the current ACC schools (minus Maryland, plus Louisville) have agreed to a media grant of rights. If true, that move would probably spell the end of realignment, or at least the full-scale chaos version of the last 3 years. All the major schools, with the exceptions of the old Big East, would be locked into grant-of-rights deals with their leagues. ETA: Apparently the SEC doesn't have a grant of rights, nor do they even have a buyout, but I'm not sure why any school would leave that league right now anyway.
  5. huh? I take it you disagree with my rankings. It was pretty obvious SCS was saying the idea of a Cubs' "playoff rotation" of any kind is insane, not because of any ranking you made.
  6. Great, the NFC South wasn't stacked enough. Carolina already had the #1-rated most difficult schedule in the league before the Revis move.
  7. I'm really, really curious to see if there's any pressure on his job by the end of the year. My guess is no, but who knows? Theo's not stupid, he knows there's nothing Dale can too with this team. I can't say there's a great deal of things Dale does that I disagree with, which is better than I can say for any of his predecessors that I've followed.
  8. This whole last 2 months, once it became pretty obvious Rose wasn't coming back and the rest of the team was going to be banged up, I have lost almost all excitement. I have almost very little excitement for the playoffs and I feel horrible about that, but it's just how I feel. I'm going to watch the playoff games because they're the playoffs, but I haven't watched a minute of Bulls' basketball outside the Heat 27-game-stopper since probably the All-Star break.
  9. It would be humane at this point to quit screwing with the fanbase and just declare him out for the year. Idk. I think anyone still holding out hope deserves the disappointment. Well, I don't think anyone really is, or at least anyone who pays attention. But it's insulting at this point for the team to leave the door open when he's clearly not coming back.
  10. It was doing that to me on my PS3 last night. Working tonight though.

  12. do the new divisions start in 2013? Yikes, the East is a bear New divisions start in 2014.
  13. OMG that was hysterical. I'm cracking up.
  14. I don't think he's even on the Mt. Rushmore of worst closers, sadly enough.
  15. I can't believe Kevin Gregg sucks said no one ever
  16. Adding to that: 9-game B1G schedule will begin in 2016.
  17. Going back to that hit and run, are opponents just going to execute that perfectly all year? Because that'll get annoying really quick.
  18. Without looking it up, I'm guessing no team in the history of sports has ever had to go through the playoffs without their two best players in consecutive seasons. Or most of the playoffs, I should say.
  19. I'm not eager to get rid of DeJesus, but I guess if there's a good deal to be had...
  20. Hawks and White Sox both on CSN, WGN would rather show something called "Nikita" and a rerun of something called "Oh Sit!" instead. WGN is absolutely dead in the water if they don't win at least a partial Cubs' TV contract post-'14, aren't they?
  21. DeJesus trade value is what we should be exploring. And here's to hoping that Schierholtz can have a DeRosa-esque breakout and we cash him in July or the Winter. I don't know much about trade value math, but I'm thinking DeJesus is probably more valuable to the Cubs than he would be to other teams. Schierholtz might be a solid sell candidate.
