  1. Yeah. Either KU or Miami got the other one (I would put KU there but I have a feeling it's Miami).
  2. That is a bear of a bottom half between MSU and Duke. Tough draw for Louisville as far as the Final Four goes.
  3. Mid Tenn in. Wow. We missed that.
  4. Really surprised Duke got bumped to a 2. Guess that means KU's a 1. Or maybe Miami
  5. I heard that too. I think IU's falling off the top 1 seed in favor of Louisville, but they're still, at worst, the third 1 seed.
  6. I think we're off a seed on Ohio State, who could just as well be swapped with Michigan at this point. Other than that, though, I don't see a seed Miami should jump. Can easily be done if we'd like. I agree with you. ETA: That also creates a heck of an interesting storyline in Michigan/Harvard. And while the committee never says they go after storylines, we've seen lots of evidence that they like to.
  7. Ole Miss is in (congrats OMC). I posted a final bracket to account for it. Bye Kentucky. I also flipped Miami and G'town's locations per SSR's suggestion. MIDWEST (Indianapolis) Dayton 1 Indiana vs 16 Liberty/North Carolina A&T 8 UNLV vs 9 Colorado Austin 4 Syracuse vs 13 New Mexico State 5 Oklahoma State vs 12 Akron Austin 6 Colorado State vs 11 Wichita State 3 Miami vs 14 Iona Philadelphia 7 Illinois vs 10 Oregon 2 Georgetown vs 15 Pacific WEST (Los Angeles) San Jose 1 Gonzaga vs 16 Southern 8 NC State vs 9 Cincinnati Salt Lake City 4 Kansas State vs 13 Valparaiso 5 Arizona vs 12 Belmont Salt Lake City 6 VCU vs 11 Ole Miss 3 New Mexico vs 14 South Dakota State Auburn Hills 7 Creighton vs 10 Oklahoma 2 Michigan St. vs 15 Florida Gulf Coast EAST (Washington, DC) Lexington 1 Duke vs 16 LIU-Brooklyn/James Madison 8 San Diego State vs 9 Minnesota Philadelphia 4 Marquette vs 13 Bucknell 5 St. Louis vs 12 California/12 Tennessee Kansas City 6 Butler vs 11 Boise State 3 Florida vs 14 Northwestern State Dayton 7 Notre Dame vs 10 St. Mary's 2 Ohio State vs. 15 Montana SOUTH (Arlington, TX) Lexington 1 Louisville vs. 16 Western Kentucky 8 Memphis vs 9 Missouri San Jose 4 Wisconsin vs 13 Davidson 5 Pittsburgh vs 12 Iowa State/12 La Salle Auburn Hills 6 North Carolina vs 11 Temple 3 Michigan vs 14 Harvard Kansas City 7 UCLA vs 10 Villanova 2 Kansas vs 15 Albany
  8. I'm pretty confident we'll miss on Miami (they look likely to be a 2 at this point and might even leapfrog to a 1 - the committee chair on CBS earlier today said the 1 line wasn't decided), but what're you gonna do?
  9. Good catch. I fixed it with a few tweaks. ETA: Hold on, I just created an A-10 rematch. Fixing. ETA 2: Ok, I think I've got it now. I had to bump UCLA up to a 7 to get out of that situation (which is fine since they were the first 8 on the S-curve anyway).
  10. Here's my final stab at a bracket. I think I followed all the rules correctly. If Ole Miss beats Florida, as bukie said, Iowa State gets bumped to the play-in, and I'll rearrange if that happens with Ole Miss going in as, I assume a 12 or 11. MIDWEST (Indianapolis) Dayton 1 Indiana vs 16 Liberty/North Carolina A&T 8 UNLV vs 9 Colorado Austin 4 Syracuse vs 13 New Mexico State 5 Oklahoma State vs 12 Akron Austin 6 Colorado State vs 11 Wichita State 3 Miami vs 14 Iona Philadelphia 7 Illinois vs 10 Oregon 2 Georgetown vs 15 Pacific WEST (Los Angeles) San Jose 1 Gonzaga vs 16 Southern 8 NC State vs 9 Cincinnati Salt Lake City 4 Kansas State vs 13 Valparaiso 5 Arizona vs 12 Belmont Salt Lake City 6 VCU vs 11 Ole Miss 3 New Mexico vs 14 South Dakota State Auburn Hills 7 Creighton vs 10 Oklahoma 2 Michigan St. vs 15 Florida Gulf Coast EAST (Washington, DC) Lexington 1 Duke vs 16 LIU-Brooklyn/James Madison 8 San Diego State vs 9 Minnesota Philadelphia 4 Marquette vs 13 Bucknell 5 St. Louis vs 12 California/12 Tennessee Kansas City 6 Butler vs 11 Boise State 3 Florida vs 14 Northwestern State Auburn Hills 7 Notre Dame vs 10 St. Mary's 2 Michigan vs. 15 Montana SOUTH (Arlington, TX) Lexington 1 Louisville vs. 16 Western Kentucky 8 Memphis vs 9 Missouri San Jose 4 Wisconsin vs 13 Davidson 5 Pittsburgh vs 12 Iowa State/12 La Salle Dayton 6 North Carolina vs 11 Temple 3 Ohio State vs 14 Harvard Kansas City 7 UCLA vs 10 Villanova 2 Kansas vs 15 Albany
  11. IMO Louisville ought to be the overall 1 seed and go to Indy, but there's no chance of making that a consensus. Dayton is a lock, though.
  12. We'll switch them with Davidson for a start.
  13. It's worth noting that except for the ND game they dominated for 39 minutes, Louisville hasn't lost since January.
  14. To my complete lack of surprise, Louisville's guards apparently have gone right back to their norm of not being good at shooting after shredding ND last night.
  15. Updated with some small-conference champions. 1 Indiana vs 16 Liberty/North Carolina A&T - Dayton (Midwest) 1 Duke vs 16 LIU-Brooklyn/James Madison - Lexington (East) 1 Gonzaga vs 16 Southern - San Jose (West) 1 Louisville vs. 16 Western Kentucky - Lexington (South) 2 Kansas vs 15 Albany (South) - Kansas City 2 Michigan vs. 15 Montana (East) - Auburn Hills 2 Michigan St. vs 15 Florida Gulf Coast (West) - Auburn Hills 2 Georgetown vs 15 Pacific (Midwest) - Austin, TX 3 Miami vs 14 Iona (Midwest) - Philly 3 Ohio State vs 14 Harvard (South) - Dayton 3 New Mexico vs 14 South Dakota State (West) - Salt Lake City 3 Florida vs 14 Northwestern State (East) - Kansas City 4 Marquette vs 13 Bucknell (East) - Philly 4 Kansas State vs 13 Valparaiso (West) - Salt Lake City 4 Syracuse vs 13 New Mexico State (Midwest) - Austin, TX 4 Wisconsin vs 13 Davidson (South) - San Jose 5 Pittsburgh vs 12 Akron (South) - San Jose 5 Arizona vs 12 Kentucky/12 La Salle (Midwest) - Austin, TX 5 Oklahoma State vs 12 California/12 Tennessee (East) - Philly 5 St. Louis vs 12 Belmont (West) - Salt Lake City 6 VCU (West) - Salt Lake City 6 Butler (East) - Kansas City 6 Colorado State (Midwest) - Philly 6 North Carolina (South) - Dayton
  16. Is it too reactionary to think Louisville could be the overall #1 seed with a win tonight now that IU is going to get bounced?
  17. Just curious, was there an order to how you were listing them based on regional? I thought you were going MW-E-W-S and then reverse order but that wasn't the case. Or is it what fits based on playing closer to home for the top seeds? And are these in order from 1-24 (i.e. is Kansas the best 2 seed)? The top-6 seeds are all being shown in order, and I did my best to maintain competitive balance while dealing with keeping those 3 B1G teams in different regionals, accounting for travel time, etc.
  18. Switch VCU and Butler, actually. No way in hell the committee would put VCU in the Washington, DC regional.
  19. I'll keep going with the pod list we've been working with (switching some sites around to keep Cuse from having too big a home-court advantage). Let me know if anything's violating a rule and/or is competitively unbalanced. 1 Indiana vs 16 Liberty/MEAC - Dayton (Midwest) 1 Duke vs 16 LIU-Brooklyn/James Madison - Lexington (East) 1 Gonzaga vs 16 Southern - San Jose (West) 1 Louisville vs. 16 Western Kentucky - Lexington (South) 2 Kansas vs 15 America East (South) - Kansas City 2 Michigan vs. 15 Big Sky (East) - Auburn Hills 2 Michigan St. vs 15 Florida Gulf Coast (West) - Auburn Hills 2 Georgetown vs 15 Big West (Midwest) - Austin, TX 3 Miami vs 14 Iona (Midwest) - Philly 3 Ohio State vs 14 Harvard (South) - Dayton 3 New Mexico vs 14 South Dakota State (West) - Salt Lake City 3 Florida vs 14 Davidson (East) - Kansas City 4 Marquette vs 13 Bucknell (East) - Philly 4 Kansas State vs 13 Valparaiso (West) - Salt Lake City 4 Syracuse vs 13 WAC (Midwest) - Austin, TX 4 Wisconsin vs 13 Southland (South) - San Jose 5 Pittsburgh vs 12 MAC (South) - San Jose 5 Arizona vs 12 Kentucky/12 La Salle (Midwest) - Austin, TX 5 Oklahoma State vs 12 California/12 Tennessee (East) - Philly 5 St. Louis vs 12 Belmont (West) - Salt Lake City 6 VCU (West) - Salt Lake City 6 Butler (East) - Kansas City 6 Colorado State (Midwest) - Philly 6 North Carolina (South) - Dayton Edited to fix VCU being in the DC regional
  20. Maybe I'm not thinking this stuff through, but I still don't think Ole Miss is in.
  21. I just wanted one mother [expletive] Big East championship game. Just one.
  22. I think Duke is still a 1 for now, but Louisville has to jump them on the S-curve presuming they beat ND tonight. I'd move KU past them as well if they win the Big 12.
  23. Kentucky might be done after losing to crappy Vanderbilt.
  24. We're all agreed Maryland is still out and Duke is (not as solidly, but) still a 1, right?
  25. Opposite Kansas possibly. Anyone else would create a disadvantage for the protected seed.
