  1. He was probably right but also lucky that nothing horrible like an injury has happened yet (furiously knocking on wood). Other than injuries to Wada, Grimm and Ramirez that crippled the pen for a stretch? True, that wasn't good, but they're also Wada, Grimm and Ramirez and not a key member of the offensive core or a starting pitcher.

  3. It's Eisen, Melissa Stark and Steve Mariucci according to Pat earlier in the game
  4. And 2-5 are locked up through 2019 or beyond. Good lord.
  5. This top 5 of our lineup is completely unfair.
  6. LOL Rizzo 6 SBs. He's going to go 20/20
  7. Yeah, from what I've been seeing, the Titans are desperately trying to get out of that spot.
  8. he missed you* *assuming you are a ball Or a strike. Or a pickoff throw.
  9. Eh, I'm not stoked to see him either, but a soft-tossing lefty might be the best chance he has to do something.
  10. The Bulls aren't going to get a better opportunity than this. Cleveland's minus a key player, Atlanta is banged up and looking extremely mortal. Not discounting the possibility that LeBron goes Keyser Soze and wills Cleveland to the Finals by himself, but there's a real chance to win the East if they don't screw it up. Unfortunately, very little that's happened the last two games inspires confidence in that area.
  11. Carolina's probably looking to go tackle here, but all the good ones have been gobbled up. I'll go BPA and give the Panthers a DeAngelo replacement instead. Panthers pick Duke Johnson, RB, Miami
  12. Never draft a pitcher again
  13. Thibodeau has lost just about every important player on his team in playoff series the previous 3 years to a series of fluke injuries that have a specious, if any, connection to the minutes they have played. This series hasn't been his finest (and last year's wasn't either), but his record speaks for itself.
  14. So the compromise is that it does that for like 3/5 of at bats and then goes back to regular NL play. Complete with they strategic situations the anti-DH clamor for. you know who else had a 3/5 compormise We've found @PFTCommenter I think
  15. The Celtics had 3 awesome players still pretty close to their prime.
  16. Might as well just lose out if this is what it's going to be. Just a horrible, horrible effort.
  17. If he's going to just chuck up whatever garbage is in front of him, it might as well be Brooks. At least he can sometimes hit them.
  18. What a [expletive] embarrassment.
  19. This is an absolute stink bomb. Way to sense an opportunity with Love going down, idiots.
  20. That sounds right, but that's on them. The Bulls aren't the only East team that was beset with injury issues during the LBJ/Heat years. I don't think we should bench Noah, guys.
  21. It'll be interesting to see LeBron actually have to be on the team with the major injury for once rather than get his road to the Finals paved with marshmallows and candy canes.
  22. Go ahead if that's all that's stopping you. They already said the game will be played. ETA: And I lied, they just announced the game will in fact not be played.
  23. Love out for the Bulls series.
  24. If the DH must be part of the game, this is an interesting compromise idea, though I doubt it would be enacted.
