    Frustration for me. We all know KB is better than this, especially that piss-poor final swing. He's getting into his own head. dude it's one game he's going to strike out a ton, in or out of his head Thank God someone's here to tell me it's one game. Jesus, a bit of minor frustration in a game thread is not my referendum on Bryant's entire life.

    Frustration for me. We all know KB is better than this, especially that piss-poor final swing. He's getting into his own head. It's his first game in the majors and he's facing one of the what, 20 best pitchers on the planet? Relax. I'm pretty sure I'll be ok, thanks. Just wanted to see Bryant awesome-ing and be immune to any nonsense like 'facing good pitchers' or 'first-game jitters'.

    Of course he's lying, but classic Deadspin to throw out baseless nonsense about boosting attendance when every single big Cubs prospect to debut under Theo has done so on the road. Of course, that would require researching something.

    MLB.TV is probably the best option. I believe someone said in one of these threads that MLB Network would be cutting into Bryant's ABs today too.

    That's what makes the hate so strong. If they make Bryant share the retirement with Grace like they did with Jenkins/Maddux, I'm going to be really annoyed. I still get irked by that stupid Jenkins/Maddux thing. Why would that one irk you? Because Maddux' numbers in Chicago alone weren't even close to meriting number retirement and we were obviously kissing his ass because of the fact we let him get away.

    Would Russell and Bryant on the same day have been too much? Am I crazy to think they're gonna try to keep Russell down long enough to avoid super two? Maybe not crazy, but I doubt it. The Cubs just moved Russell to 2B in the minors, and similar moves with Baez and Alcantara took place just a few weeks prior to a call-up. If Russell handles 2B okay, wouldn't be surprised to see him by Memorial Day.

    Deno is back, apparently. Bench just got a lil stronger. Ramirez to DL to make room, which sucks.

    Sweet baby Jesus, that lineup looks amazing. In a few weeks, swap in Russell for Herrera and put him in Castillo's spot in the order and that is one nasty-ass lineup.

    Yes after years and years of dongs nobody is going to remember this crap If he hits dongs the Cubs will eventually offer an extension even Boras can't say no to.
