    Let's see, 22-9 adds up to a nearly .710 winning %. Do you see the Cards winning 115 games? No? Me either. They still have those wins banked. Even if they don't play .715 all year it will take a hell of a good last 4 months to catch them.

    They're not in terms of the wild card, but going .333 against terrible teams is a great way to piss away what little chance you have at winning a division. You only get so many shots at bad teams. that's such a tedious way of viewing a 162 game season. At what point are you actually concerned about how far behind you are? It's a long season but St. Louis isn't getting any worse.

    Rizzo may well be the best hitter not named Trout, Stanton or Harper. And it's about time Maldonado did something bad. Huge run
