    They sent him back down, though, presumably to keep playing Super 2 games with him, which no one cares about after last year's Kris Bryant outrage.

    Well the immediate reason is because LaStella is going on the DL...what the hell happened? Hammy strain, per Bruce Miles. I guess that explains why Travis Wood randomly ran for him the other night.

    There was a spectacular infographic posted here not long ago about our RD versus every other team in baseball history to this point.

    rany's article is cool, but the interviewer in this ep asks questions like: what positions might the cubs target in the draft to upgrade their team? do you think the cubs are actually better off that schwarber got hurt since they got to upgrade their defense with soler? She also called Kyle Hendricks "Hendrick". Didn't seem like she knew much about the Cubs other than that they're awesome. The Schwarber angle is one that didn't annoy me, but it should've been phrased more like 'did the Cubs get hurt a lot less by the Schwarber injury than we thought they would' rather than implying we're actually better off without him, which is ludicrous.

    Yeah, I'm in this camp. The Rossy ride has been a blast, but there's no way he's doing this again if he came back next year. It seems like Contreras starting and Montero as the backup is the most likely thing for next year.

    I'm probably as negative as any not-totally-crazy person here, and that STL game definitely pissed me off at the time, but I didn't actually remember how it ended until it was outlined in this thread.

    Stupid horsefeathers posted on this board tends to get mocked. I get it often. UMFan83, one of the longest tenured members of the whole board, is getting a little of it right now in today's game thread. It doesn't happen to new people 'more' unless new people happen to post stupid horsefeathers.

    I like the spirit of this post but I enjoyed the Grandpa Rossy resurgence way too much to consider that Montero break a loss in any sense.

    I mean, Maddon could drop a hint by slotting him 8th in the order. He doesn't need to hit 8th, but pretty much everyone else in the lineup other than Fowler has hit all over the place, I don't know why Heyward at 2 has to be gospel.
