First thing I thought of watching Butler shut Thomas down was when the Heat pulled the reverse with LeBron on Rose. If the Bulls win this series, Butler's crunch-time D is going to be why it happens.

Three examples given in that GRB thread why the Cubs team wasn't 'homegrown' (why this matters, I don't know) - Baez, Contreras, Soler - are categorically false as none were ever in another organization. At least they're paying attention.

Our Friday home games are always on MLBN because they're the only game in town. Without ceremonies and such going forward we'll be on national TV far less.

That's the first time you've seen that? The official Cubs account used it all of last year and they may have come up with it before then.

This bum Schwarber needs to learn to run the bases 8-)

Russell's insta-drop of the bat when he knows he got it is my favorite thing.

LMAO Almora is stupid good. And it was Seager again.

Len and JD audio working? My MLB.TV feed has ballpark sounds going, but not them. Seems to be happening often early this season.

I'm legitimately surprised they aren't putting a champions patch on the regular uniforms. I don't mind it - I think there are so many freaking patches nowadays as to be annoying - but I'm very surprised.

They showed the banner ceremony on MLB.com and Cubs.com. Nothing announced on that front but that seems like a good bet.

That was not the Edwards I remember

Or you could just let the Dodgers keep making idiots of themselves while accomplishing absolutely nothing

I think we both know the answer

"league tarnishing" is.....something I guess. I didn't like losing on purpose either but when MLB literally legislates away off-season money unless you lose a lot of games...

Back to pitcher batting 9th, I see.

So will there be a way to access these live streams on MLB.TV or anything like that? I don't want to miss anything good because whoever they have on BBTN these days just had to make some stupid point.

Pretty much knew that was coming as soon as Contreras lined up for a dirtball. For all his strengths he's not much of a ball-stopper.

    Edwards 4 primary setup guy

And by the way, there's nobody out and here comes Bryzzo. This will never get old

That's for laughing at Schwarber in 2015 you goobers

I was just thinking the same thing.

I was at last Saturday's game as part of a bachelor party. It was actually legitimately fun down the stretch when Jimmy was singlehandedly carrying the team. Rondo picked a good day to decide he could shoot too.

Where is Phil Simms going? Nobody knows right now. Tony Gonzalez is leaving the studio show and Simms has some experience with that on Inside the NFL, there is talk he lands there. But I agree, who cares? Romo is going to be a massive upgrade in that spot. I'm actually looking forward to it.

So those were some awesome RGIs tonight.
