  1. Could've also said "Will Leitch desperately tries to reverse jinx St. Louis' postseason fate while also desperately trying to tell you he's not doing that"
  2. He's earned the title of best QB of all time by making so many Super Bowls, but after Belichick won 11 games with Matt freaking Cassel and now inevitably goes 4-0 with Garoppolo, those two things do deserve mention as well.
  3. Greetings from beautiful Rothbury, MI !!!! Fun fact about Rothbury...it's home to the popular Electric Forest music festival each summer, which is attended by thousands from around the country even though the population of the town is only 432. Did I mention I really, really hate St. Louis ?? Go CUBS !!!
  4. That's an awesome idea. Whenever we decide to do it I'll be happy to contribute a tweet.
  5. With Saban complaining about how the team plays every single week along the way
  6. I got to meet Fred at an NSBB meet up in 07. I don't recall any specific stories from the game, but Fred was a gentleman that day, I do remember that. And I had as much fun reading his posts as anyone's here. RIP buddy, enjoy getting plastered on all the drinks Ernie and Ron are going to buy you in October.

  8. Arizona was losing to Grambling 21-3 at halftime, which was hilarious. The Cats woke up and won by 10 though.
  9. We'll never know for sure, but it was pretty strongly rumored the Cubs' board had Appel first too. Yeah, I think you've mentioned that before. Scary thought.
  10. I don't know if I'll ever understand why Houston didn't pick Bryant.
  11. I can understand deep dish being too much for some stomachs. I cannot understand outright thinking it is not good, because it's awesome.
  12. I was way ahead of you on looking for a Nomar 8 photo and I found the same one you probably did.
  13. Something about using designated textbook money to buy things that weren't textbooks, right? Same thing happened to Ball State in 2005, we had a whole bunch of guys suspended for games with Auburn, Iowa and BC and we lost them something like 162-3 combined. What a stupid rule.
  14. You shouldn't be. No one in the South has a chance of challenging them for the division. They should get a first round playoff bye with 6 games against those guys + the 49ers and Rams. You can add the Chargers, Raiders, and Skins to that craptacular mix. I have a lot of trouble seeing how they lose more than 3 games. 2 to go. It was probably like 1983 or something the last time a QB took that many helmet-to-helmet shots without gaining a single penalty yard out of it. Thanks, NFL.
  15. After just about everything went right for Carolina last year (until the game that mattered of course), I'm a bit nervous for this season.
  16. Number of playoff wins since that idiotic decision gifted STL a series win: 0 I don't root against them or anything, but I'm not shedding tears for them either.
  17. We never do it. I'm not sure I even remember one of our players being in position to do it. Maybe Soler once or twice.
  18. I've been seeing these Tweets on here for a while and have never seen a "0% call same" before, I don't think

  20. You have no idea how good either of these teams are. And neither do I. I don't know what sort of horsefeathering exorcism I have to pull to get this to stop, but that's 3 of the all-time kicks to the nads type losses for ND in the last 11 months. And I was 2 the last time they won a title.
  21. I see everyone else in FBS is just spinning their wheels again. Alabama is going to steamroll everyone
  22. That wasn't smart, Willson. Then again, neither was pitching Wood for the 8 millionth game in a row.
  23. Apropos of nothing, I'm not sure how big the line would have to be for me to bet on Hawaii this week, but it would have to be large. They're literally going halfway around the world from one week to the next.
  24. Same, and this game sounds all kinds of awesome and dramatic. On another note....Heyward looks so much more comfortable lately, not just the results but the PAs. He was holding up against velocity really well in that Dodgers series, just missing Baez a bunch of times in the PAs I saw and fouling them back. As exciting as this year is, to think this [expletive]' team can get a lot better just by him being even his usual self at the plate. He doesn't even need to be his usual self. If he can just be sort of run-of-the-mill bad at the plate instead of what we got from him for the first 4.5 months, it makes us that much better.
