    Stop pretending like it wasn't a stupid idea to have them on new years eve. Maybe it was stupid. It wasn't a crime against humanity, which is what it was treated as by just about everybody. I thought it was a cool idea to have 6 awesome games over 2 days, but it didn't catch on.

    this is the best defense of a (perceived) overpay i've seen, even though it probably assigns too much credit I don't know that Theo intended to throw off other teams, but I think he definitely saw value in being the first to jump into the market, given so many top-tier relievers are out there.

    Will be played the preceding Saturday, with the exception of 2021 and 2022, when NYE is a Friday (federal holiday) and a Saturday respectively. Now everyone that complained about this can move on to complaining about how the playoff isn't big enough (I assume).

    You're probably NSBB's smartest baseball mind. This being said, I don't think I have to tell you that's just silly. I don't think he's calling them equals. Just saying their production has been.

    There was a Twitter account a while back (maybe still exists, I don't know) whose only purpose was to post "(player) dong" every time someone in MLB homered. It predated us going on dong parade.

    I thought I saw him further away from the plate at one point a week or two ago, but yeah, it's pretty much been the exact same thing. Odd considering there was talk in spring that Mallee had discovered a way for him to unleash more power

    They were tied at one point, I think. Then the awesome sweep of the Brewers happened. (Still probably my favorite regular-season series)
