  1. You shouldn't be. No one in the South has a chance of challenging them for the division. They should get a first round playoff bye with 6 games against those guys + the 49ers and Rams. You can add the Chargers, Raiders, and Skins to that craptacular mix. I have a lot of trouble seeing how they lose more than 3 games. 2 to go. It was probably like 1983 or something the last time a QB took that many helmet-to-helmet shots without gaining a single penalty yard out of it. Thanks, NFL.
  2. After just about everything went right for Carolina last year (until the game that mattered of course), I'm a bit nervous for this season.
  3. Number of playoff wins since that idiotic decision gifted STL a series win: 0 I don't root against them or anything, but I'm not shedding tears for them either.
  4. We never do it. I'm not sure I even remember one of our players being in position to do it. Maybe Soler once or twice.
  5. I've been seeing these Tweets on here for a while and have never seen a "0% call same" before, I don't think

  7. You have no idea how good either of these teams are. And neither do I. I don't know what sort of horsefeathering exorcism I have to pull to get this to stop, but that's 3 of the all-time kicks to the nads type losses for ND in the last 11 months. And I was 2 the last time they won a title.
  8. I see everyone else in FBS is just spinning their wheels again. Alabama is going to steamroll everyone
  9. That wasn't smart, Willson. Then again, neither was pitching Wood for the 8 millionth game in a row.
  10. Apropos of nothing, I'm not sure how big the line would have to be for me to bet on Hawaii this week, but it would have to be large. They're literally going halfway around the world from one week to the next.
  11. Same, and this game sounds all kinds of awesome and dramatic. On another note....Heyward looks so much more comfortable lately, not just the results but the PAs. He was holding up against velocity really well in that Dodgers series, just missing Baez a bunch of times in the PAs I saw and fouling them back. As exciting as this year is, to think this [expletive]' team can get a lot better just by him being even his usual self at the plate. He doesn't even need to be his usual self. If he can just be sort of run-of-the-mill bad at the plate instead of what we got from him for the first 4.5 months, it makes us that much better.
  12. Bump so it doesn't get lost before the season begins. Pretty darn excited, folks.
  13. Yeah they won 90 games despite being outscored for the season. Then kicked our ass in the playoffs to boot.
  14. They're an insane 27-8 in one run games. It means nothing but imagine if we had that kind of fortune right now and what our record would be
  15. He's going to hit 20-25 dongs the next 5 years with elite defense and how's Jeff Samardzija doing, I forgot
  16. That's completely made up, right? Unfortunately, only a slight exaggeration, as NPC pointed out.
  17. Yeah, but I really want both to miss the playoffs and a Mets sweep is the best way to further that goal right now. Oh, definitely. I wasn't making a value judgment on who to root for.
  18. As much as I hate STL, and that is a LOT, I am enjoying the Mets' collapse after how shitty their fans were last year (yes, Cubs fans outside this board probably would've been just as bad, don't care)
  19. And said ace goes against Hendricks in game 3, which is hardly a huge disadvantage for us.
  20. Apparently the gun was Max Redfield's, and he was already suspended for last year's bowl for a behavior issue. So he was kicked off the team. Devin Butler suspended indefinitely, the other four subject to internal/school discipline but no suspensions - yet.
  21. Since like 70+ percent of the games are on ESPN anyway and that's how they display them on the bottom line. Figure Central time math is pretty solid on this board.

  23. Non cryptic version: The annual preseason purge continues! Very uninformed speculation I'm hearing is that the gun belonged to Dexter Williams. I'm realllllly getting sick of this horsefeathers.
