  1. I have an L that fits me very well and I usually wear XL shirts.
  2. Opening Day on Friday is a great idea, should have been done a long time ago.
  3. I'm coming around to Fairley as the #1 pick. We have no starting-caliber DTs on roster and he's a mutant. Not what I wanted from the top pick but he could be quite useful.
  4. You aren't even a Bulls fan, right? Why do you even care? That's like the 3rd post he's made in a day pissing and moaning about our opinion of a hypothetical Melo trade. Doesn't seem to me like it's worth the time. I was never of the opinion that we had a legit shot at getting Melo anyway - certainly not after they extended Noah rather than trading him, which seems like a good move right now - so I don't even know why this is an argument.
  5. ND has one really tough game (@WVU) left before the final week of the season, which features home against Nova and @ UConn. After taking out Louisville in OT tonight, it's conceivable that they could be 13-3 in the Big East going into that final week. Mind-blowing to think that I was worried about being 4-5 in league play at one point during the second Marquette game.
  6. Yea its not on my WGN on DirecTV or CSN. Only WGN local.
  7. You are really selling him short when you say hes "a decent QB". I know some of us already had this discussion in another thread, but Ben is firmly planted in the group of QB's behind Manning and Brady. Brady won his three Super Bowls in more or less exactly the same way Roethlisberger won his two (playing usually very well and sometimes great while largely being carried by a great defense), which people seem to want to ignore sometimes.
  8. Yeah, he's definitely the #1 TE in this draft. He'd be a slam dunk for Atlanta if Gonzalez was retiring. Heck, they may pick him anyway.
  9. He's been much more than an average recruiter at IU. It's actually been an amazing recruiting job. His in-game coaching is still very questionable though. I may just be underestimating how difficult it's been for IU, but it seems like if Crean is such a great recruiter, he should be doing better than well below .500 in the Big Ten in year 3.
  10. Well, so much for "I'm [expletive] done with the Cardinals". Too bad.
  11. Top 5 jersey in the league. I like the black jerseys but the red ones are the best ones in the league.
  12. Who is this? Jalen Brown. He was snowed in and actually took a picture of his signed LOI and e-mailed it to Notre Dame to complete the process.
  13. I thought you guys were going to the NIT Funny how things can change, isn't it?
  14. #8 in the polls is fun, and provided they take care of business, ND's games against DePaul and Rutgers will make it more fun.
  15. if we just hold all 23 recruits, I'll be ecstatic. If we steal Niklas from USC or someone like that, all the better. But I'd much prefer no ND recruiting "news" between now and Wednesday. So much for that. Bennett Okotcha switches from ND to Oklahoma.
  16. That'll help the old RPI. I wonder what the polls will look like tomorrow with so much carnage having taken place this week.
  17. Did anyone complain about three students storming the court? I was just talking about Crean and thigh the lobby scene I don't think anyone here really has, but there are some who criticized it. It just baffles me how sportswriters or thirtysomethings can forget what it was like to be in college and go to sporting events.
  18. Of the current Indiana students, only the senior class has seen anything resembling the IU they've always heard about, and it was for one month. A month that was completely destroyed by the Sampson phone crap and ended in an ignominious first-round tourney exit, and a month that was followed by 2 black-hole seasons. The storm-the-court police are progressively becoming the most annoying thing about following sports. IU has been in hell for nearly 3 years and they beat a ranked team. Let the kids have fun.
  19. I have never been impressed with him, and I'm not sure how he ever started getting hyped in the first place. His only real selling point is that he has the physical build to potentially be a good NFL quarterback. He possesses no other skills that would make him one.
  20. Wait, so can we get Michigan's AD on the record as saying Rodriguez was fired for practicing too long and not for having two losing seasons, never winning a game of note and getting [expletive] annihilated by like the 6th best SEC team in his only bowl game?
  21. Would a veteran QB be a need? Sure, but there's no way this is your #1 need. Especially if they do what Hurney said they're considering, and that's taking a QB with the first pick in the draft. We gave up approximately 523,721 sacks this year, our only WR that appears to even have a prayer of not being [expletive] is well past his prime...and our #1 need is QB. God, this organization is stupid.
  22. I know we're not. I just don't see why it's a big deal. You're talking about sports fan decisions that are generally made by kids under the age of 10. They don't think in terms of "I can't root for the Packers, they're rivals to the Bears, and these other teams I picked are in Chicago!!!!".
  23. It doesn't matter much to me. The only times I really think about the fact that the Bulls and Cubs are in the same city are when a Cubs player attends a Bulls game or a Bulls person sings the 7th inning stretch. It's different leagues, different times of year, and I barely even notice. It's not difficult to separate the team from the city in your mind when you don't actually go to the city all that much. In short, as long as someone came to that rival team legitimately and not just because they were good when that person was a kid, it shouldn't really matter.
  24. That was much more befuddling to me than the Purdue demolition. Top-10 Cuse getting blitzed at home by mediocre Seton Hall? Andy, you know better than anyone there is no mediocre in the Big East. Only good, very good, and excellent. Don't you have some more bitching to do about Jared Sullinger? Or about all the other games you lost due to referees or godless chuckers, but certainly never anything that was Illinois's fault?
