  1. no that is comin up when he strikes out on a high outside fastball and then doesnt get mad but hits on the bat boy hahahaha Maybe it's just because it's been a while since the last Edmonds gay joke but I LOL'ed
  2. I don't know how high any team's winning percentages are when they go down 3 runs in the top of the 1st and they have Jason Marquis on the mound. :? sure, for this game, but people are writing off Marquis for the length of the contract because of one bad inning I think people are writing off Marquis because of one bad career. Wow, joined up yesterday and already picking iFights in every thread you've posted in. Great job. You're a welcome addition here. Isn't that Goony is disguise? :? What's going on here? Well, color me totally confused. Goony's login went kaput post-hack, so he made a new profile. That's him.
  3. Marquis now with a sub-5 ERA Who says he's not any good?
  4. Sweet, Jacque doing his Neifi impression in the 2 hole
  5. Whew. /in class and not watching on TV
  6. just did  Sort of. According to gameday, there was one swing and miss that inning, not counting Burke's foul tip strikeout. Ironically from Carlos Lee
  7. .219 average for a guy with a 7-game hit streak, only the Cubs
  8. I hope you're right. He's not. This is a rookie. We don't have "the book" on him yet. /dusty
  9. The Cubs will never win another game.
  10. Carlos Lee is my least-favorite human being
  11. Anyone see a pattern here? Sigh. I should find that funny but I just think it's depressing.
  12. Pretty telling. Especially since Gameday usually moves the pitches if the ump gets it wrong (and don't tell me it doesn't happen).
  13. I've been hearing this a lot. If we were to win the division, it wouldn't make it feel any worse knowing that we beat out a Carp-less Cardinal team. I don't wish injury on anyone either, but I'm glad he's out and I hope it's for the season because it hurts a division rival and helps the Cubs. Simple as that. I'm leaning towards this camp. I'd rather beat a full-strength Cards team, but considering the laughable amount of injuries that probably cost us the 2004 division (or at least a wildcard where IMO we would've steamrolled everyone on our way to the Series), we're owed one (or thirty).
  14. It's worth pointing out that I have a friend who's met Len and says he's about the nicest, most genuine person you can imagine. I've never gotten any impression otherwise, and this interview was just another example. Good stuff.
  15. I need to sucker someone into buying me a good camera. The one on my phone is impossibly bad.
  16. Ramon Hernandez, Chien-Ming Wang and Juan Rivera are all on the DL for my team. I have an amazing six regulars hitting under the Mendoza Line. It's not gonna stay this way, I assure you.
  17. Sammy 0-5 tonight
  18. Um, it's Eric Cooper. More likely the ass-raping will be even worse tomorrow.
  19. If you did read back through the thread, you'd see probably 10 pages worth of posts on the terrible umpiring alone. It was probably the most consistently bad beginning to end umping job I've ever seen.
  20. I won my first 2, then lost some scheduled starts and some spot starts - I think I ended up at 2-5. It was ugly.
  21. Fitting end. What a BS game, from the umping to the line-outs to everything.
  22. I really, really, really don't want to overreact.
