    I went Bryant shirsey for the last 4 games and am switching to Rizzo shirsey tonight. If we lose again I might have to bust out the Santo jersey that I've kept on ice so far this playoffs.

    No, they don't do those. The 08 Series had a game that was concluded after being postponed during play. It might have even been the last one.

    I was stuck listening to the radio, and it was unbelievable. He was our best hitter last night. He's amazing. What was Zobrist, chopped communion wafer? Forgot about Zobrist, who was great, but I'll stand by it anyway for no good reason.

    Joe said that they wouldnt rule out using him in the field at Wrigley. I don't think its a great idea, but he seems to have exceeded all previous expectations so why the hell not? Oh wow...I hadn't heard that. They asked Schwarber about that and he sort of smiled and said that won't happen.

    Eh, it's fine. Defensively they're probably a wash (IIRC Coghlan actually graded out well in the outfield this year), and as soon as Miller comes in to face Coghlan Joe is going to Contreras.

    I will have to do radio for Game 1 because of work and won't even be able to do that for most of Game 3, also because of work. Stupid adulting.

    I hate STL enough that I just don't watch their games, even the World Series, because seeing good things happen for them pisses me off too much. But I can't imagine actually going on message boards and devoting a lot of time to it.

    I almost feel bad that I don't personally know anyone that didn't see this. I didn't have Cubdom passed to me. I was an Atlanta fan by virtue of living in the South until moving to Indiana at age 11. As it happened the best friend I made in Indiana was and is a Cubs fan and basically made me watch games with him on summer afternoons until it inevitably sucked me in. Somewhere around age 13/14 I made the full conversion. I thanked him late Saturday night for making me a Cubs fan. Totally worth it.

    Unless I somehow am gifted Game 4 tickets, I will be attending the ND/Miami game. So I'll most likely need a nasty taste washed out of my mouth that evening. Hope the Cubs are up to it.
