    The 2015 Cubs were still only 5 over .500 after the Phillies swept them in late June (the Hamels no-no series), and 5 over again when they lost the day after the Bryant walk-off vs Colorado. So I guess they need to be given at least until the end of the month.

    What's up with Rizzo? Unless there's more to this that I don't know, David is probably just referring to the pictures that have occasionally made the rounds showing Rizzo partying with large amounts of attractive women. For whatever it's worth, it's been a while since I've seen one of those photos and we don't know how long he's been with his fiancee, although we can safely assume it was at least a little while before the World Series, since he felt the need to bring up that she was in bed with him the night before Game 7 in his Players Tribune piece.

    Russell isn't in the lineup for the game tonight (that doesn't have a thread) - I imagine that will continue for a while

    I just went and looked it up, and even though she denied that's what she was saying - and I believe her when she says that's not what she meant - it sure looked a whole hell of a lot like that's what she was saying.

    Well, it was pretty obvious when he posted whatever it was about a new beginning with a new ring a while back that something bad had happened, so I can't say I'm completely stunned that something worse may have happened. Ugh.

    Happ is probably at the point where he's making his adjustments to opponents adjustments. Didn't he hit the ball hard a couple of times on Wednesday? That's true, he did. Maybe he'll dong twice and my concerns will look silly
