I bought the on-field hat from Lids last night and realized after I got home that the logo was really off-center. Will have to go back and exchange it. First world problems and all, but a bummer.

The Lids in Gurnee Mills just got a horsefeathers ton in, so I would imagine the other Lids stores having a horsefeathers ton as well Anyone know how long these orders are gonna take from MLB? It says not shipping until Nov 16th but I would hope sooner. My order from winning the pennant only took 8 days. It said shipping no later than 11/16. I'm assuming that's a very cautious date and that it will be sooner.

I got all my stuff on MLB shop (it will be a long torturous wait for it to get to me) and it didn't look like they were out of anything. Haven't gotten a hat yet (hoodie and t-shirt each for the wife and I, 3 things for our baby boy so far...more to come) but I think I want that gray one as well. I can't wait for the massive horsefeathering Blu-ray set to be released.

It'll be quiet because the market sucks but I'm fascinated with the trade market this year. I keep trying to think about off-season plans and Jay Cutler don't caaaaare forces itself into my mind and World Series highlights start playing Seriously, I'll be excited to watch these guys next year but the best part of winning it is not having to stress about the day-to-day.

The TV coverage just sucked. I didn't mean literally quieter, although that was definitely true. I had the WGN stream on and even though it was pretty awful, since I was at work on a crap computer I wasn't going to switch and risk missing anything

Rally was a little quieter than I anticipated but I don't know that it could've been big enough for me to be surprised. It got legit dusty in my office when Rizzo started losing it. I have 6 or 7 favorites on this team but I think Rizzo is the big one. I know STL fans think our love for David Ross is ridiculous, and were the roles reversed I'd be leading the brigade, but I will love that guy forever.

I have had such a horsefeathering blast watching Dexter Fowler be our leadoff hitter the last 2 seasons. He's everything you could ever want out of a hitter from an approach perspective. It's too bad that it doesn't make sense for the Cubs to pay him what he will get from someone else. But we'll never forget him here.

That is Shopped but he will be wearing full Cubs uniform when the Cavs visit Chicago Dec. 2 per the bet.

I got a little Kyle-ish in my dislike of how things were going in late 2013 and especially in 2014 and I won't say I regret it per se but I thank Theo for sticking it out and having an idea of what was coming very soon. He's my favorite person in a while.

I'm so happy for him I'm pretty much happy for everyone on this entire team (sans Chapman), they're all great, they've all worked their butts off, but no one worked 6 months to the bone like Schwarber did, incredible Chapman is human garbage, but I do give him some credit for gutting out that 9th inning when he absolutely shouldn't have been out there.

They didn't invent that line of thinking, of course. People said the same garbage about Boston and, oh look, turns out a big-market team that competes consistently is still pretty freaking popular even if there's no stupid curse narrative in the national media.

Haha, seriously. I'm guessing it wasn't intended as a thunder-stealing move (I certainly hope it wasn't), but if it were that's about the last thing most of their fans want to see right now.

I think I cried hysterically for about 10 minutes. I'm not even kidding. I told my 2.5 month old son he never has to hear a horsefeathering word about a goat, the years 1908 or 1945, 'lovable losers', any of that crap. All he knows is a world in which the Cubs are the best team in the world. We won because of our dongs, our defense, our youth, our MOTHER horsefeathering AMAZING BASERUNNING (KB and Almora, oh my god), and our pitching, but more than anything we won because of our balls. Game 4 of the LDS, Game 1 of the LCS and Games 5 and 7 of this series are games the Cubs have historically found ways to lose, and instead Jason Heyward calls a rain delay meeting (worth every penny of his $184 million just for that one meeting) and the kids get their horsefeathers together and win the game. Kyle Schwarber OBP's over .500 on a freaking reconstructed knee. Javy and Contreras save their biggest swings for the biggest night. Sexy Dexy, you go, we go. I'm so happy for myself and I'm so happy for all of you. I woke up today in a world in which the Cubs are indisputably the best team in the world. I get to buy shirts, hats, hoodies and Blu-Ray sets that say Cubs World Series Champions all over them. I'm so happy.
