If he's taking Russell's ABs, good. If he's taking anyone else's ABs, it's probably still ok but less good. Also, even though it makes perfect sense, it's kind of funny that the week Darvish probably becomes toast and Quintana continues to look like ass (granted, less bad in his last start) and we seem to desperately need a 4th playoff starter that we go trade for another bat.
