Hopefully that's Happ about to break out.
This is the first time I've had to listen to Alex Cohen and woof. It's like if you typed "give me a mid 30s Cubs homer who's trying to be cool " into ChatGPT.
The king of this is an Eastern Michigan football player named, no joke, Noah Knigga. Since I just looked it up, apparently he told RG3 on some podcast that it's pronounced kuh-NAY-ga, but man, that is rough.
I do think there's some weird sense to this. The Cubs have a really good offense and adding Suarez would neutralize its only major weakness. I'm assuming they're after at least one pitcher too, but it could be that Jed sees value in beefing up the offense at the expense of some pitching depth, especially if it's cheaper in prospect cost to do that.
I know this isn't actually what happens every time, but man it sometimes feels like the wind blowing out is a constant recipe for the other team hitting it high and watching it fly while our guys forget what a fly ball looks like
I know it's part of what makes Pete Pete, but he really submarines himself sometimes with his overeagerness to swing. The wind is howling out, make the guy throw you a strike.
Drew Pomeranz another guy on the list of "might have been nice to have him start an inning that included a really tough lefty" guys in our bullpen
Of course this inning includes at least 2 of those
I am going to tonight's game and it's clear in Chicago right now with nothing scary on the radar. There was some rain earlier but I'd guess we start on time
It seems as though STL fans have had enough of ownership, which is honestly a defensible position. It's just amusing to see attendance nosedive as soon as they have an extended spell of not being the best team in the division.
I haven't at all been following Little's minor league performances, but the bulk of the time he's been in MLB he plainly has had no idea where the baseball is going. Until that's fixed I don't need to see him.
