  1. Lineup construction doesn't matter, etc. etc. but having our strikeout-prone guys up seemingly every time in those spots is wearing on me
  2. That game was definitely my "OK, just because we won the title doesn't mean these playoff games aren't trauma-inducing anymore" game
  3. Boyd is giving up line shots all over the place, maybe someone ought to be getting up in the pen
  4. I'm anti-booing on the principle of your last sentence, but bringing up Tucker's impending free agency wasn't going to get the point across. If Tucker doesn't stop sucking patootie pretty soon, whether he wants to deal with Cubs fans or not will be the least of his free agency issues.
  5. If this season was going to be full of stupid horsefeathers like a pitching injury apocalypse and Tucker inexplicably morphing into Heyward and the offense all sucking at once, I wish it could've happened early rather than wasting time and energy on this.
  6. I get from a logistical perspective why it no longer matters to have an AL and NL - there's no difference anymore with the DH and no more separate umpires and all that - but I don't like the geographic thing either. I wouldn't like the NFL getting rid of the NFC/AFC either.
  7. Prior to that line shot that luckily stayed in the park, Horton looked really good. He's got the swing and miss going.
  8. I don't really notice him much, but his tone patterns are so similar to the previous PA guy that it's amusing to me.
  9. ESPN doesn't measure supernatural forces or whatever the hell is happening in Milwaukee
  10. Oh boy, ground rule double costs Cubs a run and we all know where this is going
  11. To be fair, we've lost on oversliding the bag before, just not in a long time. Ronny Cedeno pulled it off once in his glory days
  12. I'll give it to the Cubs, oversliding the bag is a way to lose we haven't pulled off in a while
  13. Wait, you're allowed to hit the ball out of the ballpark?
  14. Why the hell didn't PCA swing at that pitch right down the middle with Happ running
  15. 2 baseballs out of the zone to Seiya, ring him up
  16. I'm not reactionary Anti Turner Guy anymore, but why did he pinch-hit against a RHP? NM I'm not paying enough attention, he pinch-hit earlier against a LHP
  17. The Cubs have the chance to do the funniest thing here
  18. Counsell wouldn't allow it and told him to bunt and he got a single out of it. 5D chess by Craig.
