  1. I saw the higlight of almora robbing him twice but what happened after that? Hamels hit him with a pitch that really wasn't close to being objectionable and for reasons known only to him he decided to get in Hamels' face and the benches cleared.
  2. Brewers have gagged in Colorado and it's tied at 2 in the 9th. Come on Milwaukee, we're trying to help you here
  3. I haven't seen one minute of this game, but just a quick drop in to say I literally can't believe what a horsefeathering whiny little horsefeathers Yadier Molina is. Just the most annoying bitchy diaper baby I've ever seen on a baseball field.
  4. Sort of along these same lines, I have always thought it was interesting that it seems like the one thing that actually gets a large percentage of fans from a rival to actually defend a player on another team is allegations of abuse or rape. Like the one thing that overrides sports allegiance for a certain group of men is to stick together against the women that dare to bring allegations forth. Are we reading the same stuff? I haven't seen or heard one instance of a rival fan mentioning Russell except to insult the Cubs for keeping him on their roster.
  5. Your lips to God's ears
  6. They will have some spare money available to make a move or two without raising payroll much if at all (I think TT did a breakdown recently and figured there'd be about $20M to play with), which is what I assume will happen.
  7. Kyle took a no-hitter into the 6th and will be leaving the 6th trailing, if you're wondering if anything has changed with this bunch.
  8. It might be the Cubs still, but I picked Blackhawks. I'm pretty sure the window's closing for the Cubs, and the Stanley Cup playoffs is the true Random Championship Generator, so the Hawks don't have to be great to win it.
  9. It's ridiculous that Christian McCaffrey is somehow the 2nd-best NFC South RB selected in the 2017 draft.

  11. I can't believe he'll be back. He's made a complete ass of himself and Hoerner is no worse than he is. He's also cheaper, which should speak to PTR's sensibilities.
  12. Well, they didn't get killed, so that was nice. Schedule isn't good enough to make the playoff, but if ND can go 11-1, they'll get either the Orange against a crap ACC team or the Cotton against a Group of 5 team. Winning a major bowl for the first time since I was 7 would still make this a good year.
  13. Because he was utterly desperate. It was a stupid ass decision.
  14. It also removes the margin for error with a loss tonight. Georgia might wind up being the only team on the schedule ranked at the end of the year. I don't think Michigan makes the difference there even if they're good. No one's letting a weak schedule 11-1 ND in the playoff (given any decent alternative) after what happened last year.
  15. Morrow was pretty awful but at least he wasn't actually going out there and sucking I guess.
  16. This weekend is going to go down in Cubs history as the end of the window, in spirit if not in total.
  17. It appears that was probably the main reason. Screwing Russell over is a nice side effect, though. I'm sure Edith Cox is out somewhere bemoaning that that's thousands of dollars that could've gone to his children and saying the Cubs are in the wrong for this. Nico was in the organization on 8-31 and can replace any of our 60 day DL pitchers assuming they haven't added a position requirement. I have no clue how the rule works, but my assumption was that he had to be replacing a DL'd person when he was brought to the majors to be eligible.
  18. As enjoyable as it is when Michigan loses, the last time they got their ass beat the same day ND was playing a Southern power, it didn't end really well. (Last Dec. 29.)
  19. Maybe if their focus the last couple of days was a little more on getting a hit with RISP horsefeathering ever they wouldn't have to worry so much about who to focus on.
  20. Iirc, Correa was our target and they thought they had him and the Astros sniped him from us because they caught him at a workout day or game they weren’t even there to watch him or something right before the draft. I had been under the impression that the main reason they picked Correa was they could sign him for cheap and spend more money elsewhere and the fact that he was good was essentially a bonus.
  21. Football the next 2 days and I'll probably be freed from having any need to pay attention after that.
  22. I have literally never hated a supposedly good team more than this collection of fucks.
  23. who else would you expose, Kimbrel? Holland horsefeathering blows but it's definitely also a sad commentary on the horsefeathers show Theo gave us in the bullpen.
