  1. I literally cannot horsefeathering believe these people.
  2. Using your best pitcher to try assure you get more than a game 163 or WC play in game is "galaxy brain?" And now they are going to win and have Flaherty lined up for game 2. So predictable. I have no idea why some franchises just can’t do horsefeathers in the playoffs. Like the Braves could field the NL All Star team and they probably lose this series Atlanta is playing St. Louis. Crap St. Louis teams with no business in the playoffs are essentially teams of Roman gods in October. I don't blame Atlanta one bit for what is inevitable.
  3. What's the Strasburg thing? Moldgate? Benching him when he was healthy because of hypothetical future injury concerns and handing a postseason series (and nearly a pennant) to STL in the process. But good for their fans, who have been through the damn ringer since then.
  4. I was sort of leaning Brewers because I'm still mad about the Strasburg thing after all this time, but Hader yakking it up in horrific fashion is a pretty good consolation prize.
  5. Minnesota would definitely be fun as well.
  6. I'm cool with anything but STL in the NL and Houston in the AL. Ideally we'd get Atlanta vs Oakland but if we can avoid STL in the Series, especially, I won't be picky beyond that.
  7. Without actually knowing anything about him besides things that have been said on this board, Espada from Houston seems like he'd be a logical guess for the guy on a playoff team.

  9. Idiot. How come you didn’t post highlights against the Mets in the NLCS, idiot? So what you're saying is the only time clutchiness matters is when they lose. When they win that has nothing to do with their clutchiness. As long as we're clear on that.
  10. Carolina went 0-2 at home with Cam Newton, has now gone 2-0 on the road with Kyle Allen. This all makes perfect sense.
  11. In other news the sun came up in the East, et al
  12. Ross probably would rather do what he's doing now than either of those things.
  13. Now why ever would you think that our ownership group wouldn't try to acquire elite talent when it became available?
  14. I saw the higlight of almora robbing him twice but what happened after that? Hamels hit him with a pitch that really wasn't close to being objectionable and for reasons known only to him he decided to get in Hamels' face and the benches cleared.
  15. Brewers have gagged in Colorado and it's tied at 2 in the 9th. Come on Milwaukee, we're trying to help you here
  16. I haven't seen one minute of this game, but just a quick drop in to say I literally can't believe what a horsefeathering whiny little horsefeathers Yadier Molina is. Just the most annoying bitchy diaper baby I've ever seen on a baseball field.
  17. Sort of along these same lines, I have always thought it was interesting that it seems like the one thing that actually gets a large percentage of fans from a rival to actually defend a player on another team is allegations of abuse or rape. Like the one thing that overrides sports allegiance for a certain group of men is to stick together against the women that dare to bring allegations forth. Are we reading the same stuff? I haven't seen or heard one instance of a rival fan mentioning Russell except to insult the Cubs for keeping him on their roster.
  18. Your lips to God's ears
  19. They will have some spare money available to make a move or two without raising payroll much if at all (I think TT did a breakdown recently and figured there'd be about $20M to play with), which is what I assume will happen.
  20. Kyle took a no-hitter into the 6th and will be leaving the 6th trailing, if you're wondering if anything has changed with this bunch.
  21. It might be the Cubs still, but I picked Blackhawks. I'm pretty sure the window's closing for the Cubs, and the Stanley Cup playoffs is the true Random Championship Generator, so the Hawks don't have to be great to win it.
  22. It's ridiculous that Christian McCaffrey is somehow the 2nd-best NFC South RB selected in the 2017 draft.

  24. I can't believe he'll be back. He's made a complete ass of himself and Hoerner is no worse than he is. He's also cheaper, which should speak to PTR's sensibilities.
