  1. What exactly did Atlanta start?
  2. Yep. When they're actually pretty legitimate they get bounced, when they're ridiculous jokes who make it mostly due to other teams' incompetence they're destined to win it all. I've known this was coming since August, unfortunately.
  3. I’ll root for Washington if the Braves win the earlier game tomorrow. If the Cardinals win, sadly I have to root for the Dodgers Right there with you. Have to get STL out and LA will be the best chance.
  4. I have no idea why Houston trotted Verlander out on short rest.
  5. Mahomes has 1800+ yards, 11 TD, 0 INT I'd say he's on the podium somewhere Mahomes is outstanding and he'll probably win it in the end. No argument. But McCaffrey is on an offense with Kyle Allen, DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel, Reggie Bonnafon, the corpse of Greg Olsen, and an ok but not great offensive line. (The defense is pretty good, but they also just gave up 28 points to the Jaguars.) He is almost literally carrying the entire team, unsustainably so (there's no way he keeps this up for 16 games, he'll die first).
  6. Christian McCaffrey is the NFL MVP at the moment and it really isn't close, to be honest
  7. Presented without comment

  9. That was extremely funny. Boise now in pole position for that NY6 bid. The VT/Miami finish was straight-up bananas. Canes go for 2 down 35-27 with 5 minutes left for some reason, make it, then miss the PAT after their next TD to stay tied. VT gets to the 2-yard line with a minute and a half to go and inexplicably scores immediately rather than run clock for an easy winning FG. Miami gets inside the VT 20 in response but falls short. Ridiculous game.
  10. I literally cannot horsefeathering believe these people.
  11. Using your best pitcher to try assure you get more than a game 163 or WC play in game is "galaxy brain?" And now they are going to win and have Flaherty lined up for game 2. So predictable. I have no idea why some franchises just can’t do horsefeathers in the playoffs. Like the Braves could field the NL All Star team and they probably lose this series Atlanta is playing St. Louis. Crap St. Louis teams with no business in the playoffs are essentially teams of Roman gods in October. I don't blame Atlanta one bit for what is inevitable.
  12. What's the Strasburg thing? Moldgate? Benching him when he was healthy because of hypothetical future injury concerns and handing a postseason series (and nearly a pennant) to STL in the process. But good for their fans, who have been through the damn ringer since then.
  13. I was sort of leaning Brewers because I'm still mad about the Strasburg thing after all this time, but Hader yakking it up in horrific fashion is a pretty good consolation prize.
  14. Minnesota would definitely be fun as well.
  15. I'm cool with anything but STL in the NL and Houston in the AL. Ideally we'd get Atlanta vs Oakland but if we can avoid STL in the Series, especially, I won't be picky beyond that.
  16. Without actually knowing anything about him besides things that have been said on this board, Espada from Houston seems like he'd be a logical guess for the guy on a playoff team.

  18. Idiot. How come you didn’t post highlights against the Mets in the NLCS, idiot? So what you're saying is the only time clutchiness matters is when they lose. When they win that has nothing to do with their clutchiness. As long as we're clear on that.
  19. Carolina went 0-2 at home with Cam Newton, has now gone 2-0 on the road with Kyle Allen. This all makes perfect sense.
  20. In other news the sun came up in the East, et al
  21. Ross probably would rather do what he's doing now than either of those things.
  22. Now why ever would you think that our ownership group wouldn't try to acquire elite talent when it became available?
  23. I saw the higlight of almora robbing him twice but what happened after that? Hamels hit him with a pitch that really wasn't close to being objectionable and for reasons known only to him he decided to get in Hamels' face and the benches cleared.
  24. Brewers have gagged in Colorado and it's tied at 2 in the 9th. Come on Milwaukee, we're trying to help you here
  25. I haven't seen one minute of this game, but just a quick drop in to say I literally can't believe what a horsefeathering whiny little horsefeathers Yadier Molina is. Just the most annoying bitchy diaper baby I've ever seen on a baseball field.
