    LOL Rolison throws a wild pitch and falls on his face trying to get to the plate. Between that and the Cubs turning a PCA cycle into 2 runs (pre-rally) yesterday and PCA getting picked off after the single, we are finally approaching fun-bad territory, which is at least better than boring-bad.

    And now Cabrera is injured. Nick Frangella has spent more time on the field than half the damn roster this season.

    Good lord am I sick of our non-Ben Brown pitchers either getting hurt or lit up.

    This team is having unfathomably bad luck with pitching injuries this year.

    Vitello deserved to give up a HR for the dumb ass decision to leave Webb in there, but if this team didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck

    We'll never know, of course, and I'm sure it's not so simplistic, but when he went and got Counsell, it sure seemed by the other moves that were made (and not made) that year that he thought taking Milwaukee's manager was just going to magically make us, and not them, the team getting the most out of every last nook and cranny of the roster. So much for that.

    I don't wish injury on people but it's really annoying that we can't have a decent pitcher stay healthy for more than a week and this guy can just throw 102 50 times a game and is just hunky dory

    $175 goddamn million to watch a guy pop up to second for 5 years. At least Heyward was fast.

    This is terrible news. I enjoyed the short lived Derrick Rose era at least 20% more because of Stacey's calls.

    The hell of it is this team needs more starting pitching to be a playoff factor even if they manage to get their way there and Jed has shown no appetite (not saying he's wrong in the long term, but he's shown no appetite) for going after game changing talent in season. So it just doesn't feel like this team has much of a chance to do anything unless all the bats get hot at once at a convenient time.

    That guy trying to go to third down 5 runs is one of the single dumbest TOOTBLANs I can ever remember.

    Counsell and trainer came out to see Palencia but no major issue apparently

    Don't remotely care about either. I know we aren't getting one without the other. If they put in an owner revenue cap after which their profits get distributed to the city, then I'm in for a player salary cap. Until then, hell no.

    That looks like a union attempt to have some sort of giveback in exchange for several demands that management is unlikely to give the time of day. It also gives them an easy talking point when it gets swatted down: "We literally offered them guaranteed profits and they rejected it"

    Team wide slumps won't be a thing THIS time we give a guy a horsefeathers ton of money for being good in the clubhouse.

    It's always a fun part of a losing streak when the team that hasn't scored worth horsefeathers in a week finally gets some offense on the day they give up 8 runs

    Cabrera to the injured list, which means 3/5 of the opening day rotation is on the IL

    My kid wants them to win but doesn't watch any games with me and will instantly check out if they're losing and I think I like his idea better

    I wonder how high you'd have to tell me Ian Happ's strikeout rate is with RISP before I'd start assuming you're full of it. I think you'd have to get to at least 40%
