  1. I'm pro Sean McDonough in all circumstances, but yeah, not having the SNB team made everything else gravy.
  2. San Diegoans. San Diegans.

  4. So glad Carolina will be spinning the QB roulette wheel when there's again no consensus good player at that position
  5. PSU is probably still fine if they beat IU (or, perish the thought, @ Ohio State). The rest of their schedule is dog water so they'll beat them all. But can they split those two? Not sure.
  6. ND offense looks like they're really good but also it sure looked like Arkansas straight up quit before the first half was even over. Not boding well for Sam Pittman's employment prospects. We're not making the playoff but I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of watching CJ Carr the rest of the season
  7. If you click your username in the top right corner, "Ignored users" is one of the options in the drop-down menu. It took me a hot minute to figure it out too.
  8. Seiya being potentially fixed is a great sign
  9. I feel like every time we go from 'definitely not picking up the option' to 'hey, maybe we should pick up the option' the guy whose option gets picked up goes in the tank the next season
  10. Rome is still around. His show is apparently syndicated by Westwood One.
  11. My ignored users tally has been on a heater of late
  12. I'm kind of there too. I can already see myself getting 5 times angrier about a Cub being rung up on ABS in a key spot on a pitch a human ump probably wouldn't have called than I will be relieved if it works out the other way.
  13. Also lost to the Brewers a couple of times the last weekend of the season to help facilitate the Mets' collapse. Which ended up screwing us in the end because we drew the hotter-than-the-surface-of-the-sun Mannywood Dodgers. That made me mad even as it was happening because the free-falling Mets were so obviously a better matchup.
  14. This was being discussed in another thread (a game thread, I think?) and I believe your conclusion here is correct. SD catching the Cubs would necessitate them winning the tiebreaker.
  15. Sounds like bad news is coming regarding Cade Horton
  16. 2nd time he's called him Matthew Busch. Dude is flat-out not paying attention And now Perez just did it too
  17. Karl Ravech has called Busch "Matthew Busch" tonight and I'm pretty sure he just called Starling Marte "Martin-ay" twice in the same at-bat.
  18. i hope I'm the first person to make the joke about being surprised Matt Shaw deigned to hit the ball hard to left
  19. Given the character issues surrounding him I would be surprised if we saw much more of him. He also started sucking as a baseball player pretty quickly after the title, so it's not like he has a rich history of great play for fans to look back on fondly.
  20. A friend of mine got in there for the 2015 NLDS, or he went to the clinch game at least (I assume he must have been picked).
  21. Odds are the Cubs will win again in 2025. I think.
  22. Mortal lock Kelly would swing at some crap after that foul ball
  23. I'm guessing you already know, but this is what MAGA is. They can hold whatever views they want (even those that change on a dime, i.e. going from Trump's Operation Warp Speed to "vaccines are poison and murdering people") and anyone who opposes any of those views, even in the most benign way, is a cuck/Communist/crybaby/whatever epithet their pea brains are thinking at the given moment.
  24. Dan Campbell rules
  25. His kid is expected to be the interim. If it was something he did, I can't believe that would be happening. Looks to me like it's the old "Whoopsie, I quit and it's too late for you guys to go through a hiring process, guess you'll just have to let the guy I wanted to be next take over" move that we've seen a few times already (Virginia, Wisconsin).
