  1. 54 pitches for Marshall, if he can keep rolling I can see him get through 7 innings tonight.
  2. Statistically reinforcing the ridiculous amount of transactions between these two teams.
  3. One hit combined in this game and it was almost called an error.
  4. I'm leery of all these 3-1 counts with 2 outs and a RISP. But as long as he gets out of it...
  5. Neifi wouldn't have let them walk him. He'd know what they're trying to do.
  6. Obviously the Fish don't realize that Marshall can hit
  7. Murt works a full count and strokes a knock. What a pleasure to watch this guy hit.
  8. Check out this bizarro-world duo on Gameday: http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_425883.jpghttp://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_334393.jpg
  9. I'd rather have him break the 7-inning mark.
  10. Cubs = more important than the marriage
  11. Comedy on NSBB. Neifi gets brought up and a huge argument ensues. It's like clockwork. OMGZ I'M NOT ARGUING JUST BECAUSE IT'S NEIFI I JUST HATE THE WAY DUSTY USES HIM GO COBS
  12. I don't mind having guys on the team that the girls have crushes on as long as it brings more hot girls to the park.
  13. Yes, it does. It is ignorant to believe that three plate appearances is enough of a sample size to start a terrible player. Also, I just rechecked HHH's post on the first page, and it showed Neifi as being 0-8 against willis? Which number is correct? If he truely is 0-8, then there isnt even an argument. 3-3 is referring to Neifi's numbers against last night's pitcher, Vargas.
  14. A Cardinal fan!! LET'S GET EM!! That's why I love this board, I can count on reading at least 4-5 posts like this a day that make me giggle.
  15. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with taking video AT a game and posting it on YouTube, as opposed to TV footage which would be illegal. I may be wrong on this, though.
  16. Definitely agree with this. He has the ugliest swing by far of any Cub of the last six years (since I started regularly watching).
  17. I'm glad you do, because it's about time a real cub fan spoke up and opened some eyes..... You didn't even read this thread! We're trashing Jockstrap because he compared us negatively to TWINS fans because "they are there through thick and thin", which might be the stupidest Cubs-related thing ever said. That led to a discussion of if and when booing is acceptable. But it's good to know that you think you are "the voice" of Cubs fans when you can't even read a damn message board thread well enough to know what it's about.
  18. I'm starting to doubt my ability to win this thing. I have so many picks in common with Truffle (ARod, Dunn, Pujols, Gomes, Thome) that my other picks would basically have to tear up the world to win. That said, it is April and anything can still happen. I've still got a couple of numbers different from those on Truffle's list, but I'm probably out of date (for instance I had Swisher at 7 until he hit his 9th yesterday).
  19. It was actually Prior for Tejada straight up. The rumor is that Hendry asked for Bedard along with Tejada and Baltimore balked, justifiably as it turned out. That's how I remember it and seems to be accurate from what I've read on Oriole forums as well. When Hendry called about Tejada, the Orioles expressed interest in Prior. Hendry said to give up Prior he'd need a pitcher in return, such as Bedard. Which was a very smart move by Hendry BTW.
  20. The Astros got swept but the games were close. The Astros played good baseball in the Series but the Sox were better. No shame in that unlike the Cards in 2004. I would agree with this. Everyone knew Houston would have trouble scoring runs. It was simply the White Sox' year, from the Dye "HBP" to Podsednik golfing a terrible pitch to hit out of the yard to Geoff F***ing Blum hitting a game-winner in Game 3 to no one in Houston thinking to go reverse-Bartman on that popout in Game 4.
  21. Oh screw you, man. This is ridiculous. Cubs fans are the best and most loyal in all of sports, college or pro, and if Jock's going to go off on them, then he should be booed every single time he steps to the plate. Todd Hundley-style.
  22. It was 3-2. Murt got it to 3-2 after starting off down 1-2. Have I mentioned I love the kid?
