    See, that's the problem. You're comparing what you view as VH's best song with a song that's not even LS's top. It's just the one you've heard most. It's like using "Creep" to judge Radiohead, or "All Along the Watchtower" to rate Hendrix. If Jump is just what I view as their best song, then what's the problem with comparing it to what I view as LS's best song? This tournament is all about subjectivity anyways isn't it? From the seedings to the matchups to the votes, subjectivity is the name of the game. Some here (not pointing at you Constable, you just have the misfortune of being quoted in this post) are taking this way too seriously IMO. It's about who you like, not who is more well-respected or whatnot.

    I'm noncommittal. On the one hand there has to be at least a grain of truth in all these rumors. On the other hand...this is Jim Hendry.

    Like every other player that backs Baker (read: any Cubs player), he's getting injured.

    Bronson strikes me as a guy a lot of NSBB would like to hang out with.

    This has to be a joke. A cosmic joke. I really don't want to believe in curses...I REALLY, REALLY don't...but at the same time, the Cubs have had more fluke ass injuries in the last five years than many teams have had in the last thirty or more. It just defies description the things that happen to this team.

    Not if you think you can win this year. Schmidt is proven. McCarthy is a top prospect, but top prospects have been known to fail. And even if he does develop as expected, there's no reasonable assurance that he'd do as much as Schmidt would to help them win this year.Good point about this year since no one is out in the NL West. I would have to give McCarthy a long look though, as anyone who made starts for a WS champion then returned the next season as a guy who would've been in just about any other team's rotation would have as good a chance as any of succeeding.

    It's very possible that Neifi could be dealt for at least a minor leaguer or two. The thing is, Hendry and Dusty wouldn't do it.

    The Police is one of those many bands that I know I'd like more if I got a chance to listen to more of their stuff but am always too unmotivated to do so. They're an easy pick here.

    McCarver is worse, but he's also more fun to listen to. Morgan is more infuriating to listen to because we all know Dusty Baker agrees with most of what he says.

Maybe he should've just told Dusty no when he kept saying he needed one more inning. Then he'd be branded a clubhouse cancer and shipped off anyway. Your logic or lack thereof here is absurd.

    If I'm Brian Sabean trying to work Schmidt out to an extension and I get this call from Kenny Williams, then I call up Jason and say "Hey buddy change of plans, you're going to Chicago". You can always bury Anderson on the bench or trade him for spare parts, but if you can get a prospect like McCarthy from a guy as close to the end as Schmidt you do it last week.
