  1. TOUCHDOWN KSU 35-21
  2. TEXAS FUMBLES AGAIN AND KSU RECOVERS
  3. Texas fumbles, KSU recovers and races 3 plays into the Texas endzone!!!!
  4. If he's not the system has absolutely no merit whatsoever.
  5. Oops. Texas blocks a punt and scores on the next play. 21-21.
  6. Go Kansas State!
  7. Didn't Louisville beat them 31-7 with their backup QB in Manhatten? I think they did. Texas is also playing with their backup QB, looks like McCoy jammed his neck on a QB sneak early in the game.
  8. http://www.bluetomorrow.com/images/stories/man%20law.jpg No fruit in beer!
  9. And Boise won 23-20 to keep their at-large bid going. Whoa! Kansas State now leading Texas 21-14.
  10. So it's waiting for Hawkins to blow another save? Even worse, it's like waiting for Alfonseca to blow another save.
  11. Boise State now has the ball and needs to go only about 40 yards in 2 minutes to get into FG range and beat SJSU.
  12. No further comment, but Miami is playing Florida International today in basketball.
  13. When I make this point to anyone that's not a Cubs fan, I am shouted down with a barrage of numbers (which, BTW, were put up during Sosa's prime years). I would like to believe Sammy and I'm going to until I hear something that suggests I shouldn't.
  14. I'm not bellyaching, I'm asking a question. Although I can accept that there's less of a chance of poll drops for close games late in the season. However, my point stands that Florida and ND have had pretty similar seasons.
  15. They get leeway because they've beaten someone good. Technically, if Tennessee loses tonight, the two teams best wins will be about the same. ND beat Georgia Tech, who has only 1 L since that game. ND also crushed Penn State, who played O$U tough and is pretty good in their own right. Purdue's going to a bowl game. Navy's going to a bowl game (obviously not on the same level as the previous ones but worth mentioning). Florida has two wins over currently ranked teams (@Tenn and LSU). ND has one (@GT), but their wins over Penn State and Purdue are more impressive than any of Florida's remaining wins. The Gators, like ND, have looked sluggish against a couple of lesser opponents (@Vandy, SC vs UCLA, @MSU). The two teams are more similar than you can admit.
  16. Nice going Ty. Come on now, they started losing once their best player - Isaiah Stanback - was lost for the season. ETA: First play after the Beavers get the interception? They fumble!! UCLA ball. True, that's fair I suppose. I'm rooting for Ty.
  17. Ball State obliterates Northern Colorado 81-42. The Bears only managed 18 first-half points. It's only one game against a crappy team, but Ronny Thompson has his team playing good hard-nosed D, and we actually have depth! Imagine that!
  18. Nice going Ty.
  19. ND needs: - Texas to lose at some point - Arkansas to lose a game before the SEC title game, then beat Florida in that game - To beat USC And then they could play for it all (and most likely get killed by OSU or Michigan). Question: Does the fact that Florida probably should've lost to SC (at home) result in a poll drop, or does that only happen when ND's opponents play them tough? ND breezes to a 39-17 win over Air Force. Quinn throws for 202 and 4 TD (his own defense kept him from having the ball enough to throw for more yards). Gioia gets 2 PATs blocked and misses a 3rd.
  20. Maddux already won the Gold Glove, and unfortunately the Cubs being so bad took away any chance of Z winning the Cy Young. But, I doubt anyone's done the Slugger/Cy double in the same year.
  21. Am I the only one that doesn't like "50-50" as it pertains to the Cubs? 50-50 to me is more like 20-80.
  22. This is why it might've been better for the Dems in the long run if they hadn't won the House and Senate. If Republicans had maintained control until 2008, they likely would have alienated everyone even further, and the Dems wouldn't even have to have a platform in order to win the Presidency because just the prospect of a new party in power would be enough. But now the Dems will have to prove they deserve the power. Honestly, part of me is rooting for them. A moderate Dem (in the Bill Clinton mold) in the White House might be just what the doctor ordered.
  23. Kellen Lewis is a very good QB. Granted, it was only our defense, but he led IU back from a 23-7 deficit in Muncie in his first ever game as a collegian. Heck, he was down 14-0 before he even entered the game.
