Neither QB even remotely wants to win this game.

Ball State trails by double digits most of the game, makes a late run, then loses to Eastern Michigan 56-52 to go to 4-12 and 0-3 in the MAC. You can't score 18 first-half points and win. I'm pretty sure even PSU on their worst day could solve our offense, as the only reason we were even close was that freshman Ahmaad Cook, who almost never plays, suddenly got hot and sunk four 3's in the 2nd half.

We'll see, as an IU fan I hope they win. However, they are 0-3 on the road so far this season. Granted, those three road games were Duke, Kentucky, and Ohio State. Despite, PSU not being as good a team, I think the game will be a lot closer than the Purdue and MSU games. Gotta shoot well on the road for a change. BTW, if they played today, IU would beat Duke and UK on the road. And I also count Butler as a road game. It was like 5 minutes from their campus. I have a hunch that Butler fans probably didn't outnumber IU fans at that game. There are probably more IU fans in the greater Indianapolis area than Butler fans in the entire country.

Agreed. Tomas Perez is a textbook example of a signing that should justifiably panic fans of any Baker-managed team. (I love saying this so I'll say it) Dusty Baker isn't our manager. \:D/

Exactly. How can you have a guy like Khryapa who hasn't played in several games get close to 20 minutes tonight? How can guys like Tyrus, Thabo, and Sweetney not even play? His substitutions are maddening and most of the time, they make no sense. The whole deal of benching Gordon and starting Duhon is absurd. Duhon is a good defender, but he doesn't do anything on offense. And when he starts, it moves Hinrich to the 2 where he is not comfortable at all. If Gordon starts, not only would it help us on offense, but it brings Kirk back to his natural position. I think it's reached the point of just being defiant. "Oh yeah, you think Gordon should start? Well guess what. You're not the coach, I am!" "You think Gordon should get the ball late in the game when he's 5/6 from 3 for the game and is the only person on the team who can on a regular basis create his own shot? BAH to you! I'm giving it to my man Kirk!"

I'm sick and damn tired of this. Quit giving the ball to Kirk Hinrich in clutch situations. Ever. Just stop it. Hell, take him out and have BG run the point.

I think Sidney Rice will be better than Samardzija too. I don't think there is any "will be" to it. I think he's already better. I think the receivers are ordered this way in terms of talent... 1. Johnson 2. Jarrett 3. (tie) Rice 3. (tie) Meachem 5. Samardzija 6. Ginn (the spaces are intentional) I don't like Ginn. The "just run until the DB covering you falls well behind you" game plan won't work well when every DB is fast and I've never seen Ginn catch a pass besides that variety.

I have no idea who Carolina will pick or who I want them to pick. We could probably use OL before any other position, but there are a number of positions we could use more people at, including DL and LB.

a 16 team conference is really, really dumb and i can't believe anyone approved it. You know your conference is too big when a) not everyone can play each other and b) the bottom 4 teams can't even participate in the conference tourney Everyone could play each other, but for whatever reason, the Big East decided to have each team play three teams twice and three teams not at all each year. It'd make sense if they were doing that to preserve rivalries, but no, the teams are randomly selected each year. I have no idea what the Big East thinks it's doing, but it pumps up ND's SOS each year so whatever.

Big East's 16 teams probably precludes any such agreement from being made. ND this year has about the easiest schedule one can have in the Big East, dodging Pitt and UConn. They do play Villanova twice, but they also play DePaul and USF twice.

As for the picks, I'm taking Indy, NO, SD and the Bears.

Rumors are that Oakland will either take Russell with the first pick or not a QB. I'm not hearing anything linking them with Quinn. The Lions may not either, which could send Quinn to his hometown Browns...unless Joe Thomas falls to 3, in which case indications are that Cleveland will take him. With Tampa apparently committed to Chris Simms, Quinn could fall a bit more than expected.

Good. Aldridge should be playing. If he stayed it would be comparable to (though not as bad, at least Walker has some talent) the Grant/Jones debacle under Ty, IMO. Do you think TT may make a move back to RB? Yes, and I think it's the main reason he's taking his 5th year. I expect some sort of TT/Aldridge setup, with Prince and Armando Allen seeing time at some points.

WNDU-TV just reported that Darius Walker is declaring for the NFL draft. I have no idea why, but James Aldridge is going to be better than Darius was anyway.
