  1. If we keep that up, we'll be dancing.
  2. We also have a top 100 prospect coming in (6'4 shooting guard). Pretty exciting stuff.
  3. New York is okay. I'd be a lot of fun if I had Lebron's salary.
  4. Also, most of the people who work for rivals (if not all) are not professional scouts, or even retired scouts.
  5. http://d1scourse.typepad.com/blog/2010/01/resume-comparison-jan-20.html
  6. Probably an SRT-10. If you're going to spend $50k on a car... why would it be a pickup?
  7. "You got that right, Darren Sutton"
  8. Up 48-46 then lost 50-60. AWFUL.
  9. Northwestern is reportedly getting closer to solidifying a game at Wrigley. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/01/northwestern-still-hopes-to-make-wrigley-field-game-a-reality.html I'd love to beat Iowa there.
  10. So who's on the short list of QB Coach candidates? We've heard a lot about the OC position, but since Bates ended up in Seattle I've heard next to nothing about the QB Coach search.
  11. It's exciting to see him back within the organization, but I don't see what the big deal is. There's anecdotal evidence that he "really knows the game," but can he evaluate talent? I'm hoping for the best, but I can't help but think of the peter principle.
  12. Maybe that's because he didn't have QBs that could move. Or who were effective at moving. Not defending the guy, just sayin'
  13. That's true, but who has he had at QB? Warner, Bulger? Both pocket passers and less mobile than Cutler. My bigger concern is whether he can get Cutler out of the pocket and/or running some bootlegs to his right. That's where he's at his best and Turner didn't utilize that strength.
  14. If Juice doesn't die by then. He's playing 38 min/game and I'm concerned he's going to run out of gas after playing all of these tough teams.
  15. Big, big win. Crawford made some rookie mistakes, but he showed today that he really can be something special down the line. Yeah, the 5 turnovers weren't attractive, but the guy has already had about 5 huge games. Not bad for a true freshman. We're going to face a Leuer-less Wisconsin on Wednesday. He's out indefinitely with a wrist injury, for which he'll undergo surgery tomorrow. That's huge... first conference game in Evanston since classes resumed coming off of a big win -- upset alert? :D

  17. I went several times when I was in high school. It's fun, but you have to wait in line for hours to get autographs and it's really crowded. It's just not worth it unless you get a hotel room to relax in. I live 2 blocks from the Chicago Hilton now, which would make things easier, but I'm still probably not going to end up going.
  18. Great game going on in Madison. Badger fans chanting "Kramer Swallows" LOL
  19. He's also no longer a coach. :D
  20. On one hand it makes me sick that we're getting another guy who is just a Lovie guy. I really don't see him as a Lovie guy. Lovie guys are all defensive coaches in love with the Tampa 2. Martz was in STL long before Lovie was, and if anything, Lovie is a Martz guy, as he was his defensive coordinator in STL. I don't even consider Turner a Lovie guy, as he was basically an autonomous CEO of the offense. I'm not sure how much stock I put into this report, but I think I'd love to see a situation where a guy like Martz is the OC and that Bates dude is the QB coach. That's the best-case scenario, IMO.
  21. On one hand it makes me sick that we're getting another guy who is just a Lovie guy. I need to find a college team to root for next season. Northwestern will happily take you.
  22. could have been undefeated but for a play here or there that's true, but i have to think that the lousy field conditions in the florida bowl games probably favored big ten teams. That's normally true, but I don't think it favored NU as much as say, Penn St.. We were up against a run-first team and we have a pass happy offense. Kafka threw 78 balls! If you want to say that it slowed down a quick defense, I'll give you that.
  23. I'm a little nervous about Marinelli becoming the DC -- mainly because he's never been one and I feel like Lovie is still going to have his hands all over the D. Regardless, I think we can still improve with a good OC, Oline coach, and QB coach,
