    And Granderson. Yeah I don't get it, isn't Joe a Northwestern graduate? How hasn't he thought this all out better? Worse, he has a BS in Industrial Engineering-- you know, the study of optimizing processes.

    I could get on board with that, though he's mostly an analysis guy on there, not sure how his broadcasting skills are He's got a weird speech impediment. What? Maybe I'm not noticing it, but he sounds just fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50Q7nNYj-_0 He doesn't have a large presence in his speaking voice, but maybe if he is mic'ed up correctly it would work out well. I wouldn't be opposed to Karros. I think he sounds a little up tight, but I wonder if he is doing broadcasts consistently and with the same team, he would loosen up a bit. Those are the only two former Cubs I would be that interested in. Wood would be intriguing, but based on interviews he's done, he doesn't seem like he can articulate too well and make comments on the fly. Personally, I just want someone that is knowledgeable in advanced statistics, has playing experience in some capacity, and has a good presentation style. Being a former Cub is not a qualifier at all.     wtf? Grow up? What the heck is Cutler doing that's not mature? Sorry he's not a media suckup and doesn't really open himself up to the public, but taking shots at him like that is just odd. Oh poor Terry got an interview request turned down (presumably) and now wants to act like an interview with him is the biggest honor you can get in the NFL. Sorry but I can't stand the people who hate on Cutler because he refuses to reform into the stereotypical NFL personality. He should've maturely taking 'roids and amphetamines to improve his play like Bradshaw did.

    So I just got back from the game last night. First of all, that stadium is awesome. More importantly, there truly were a TON of Bears fans! The "Let's Go Bears!" chants were clear from where I was sitting. I also took a few videos after the game -- see if you can count the few Cowboys fans in these shots! ( )

    The irony lost in all this is that the refs are on strike in large part because they don't want to be more closely evaluated/held accountable for bad games

    Given that, my first thought would be that he's there in case of emergency, like another extra inning game where they need more arms. But then again, its September, so there should be no shortage of arms on the roster. Also, since there has been a lot of Orioles chatter on NSBB lately, I think we should adopt the Orioles as our team for the playoffs. Seconded.
