  1. Since when do NFL players use condoms?
  2. I'm sure he'll have many interesting things to say. @drose FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE GO-DEN REEEEEEEEEENGS
  3. Tim Beckman, 8 assistants, and 3 million persian warriors are waiting in his parking lot as we speak.
  4. http://hollywoodhiccups.com/wp-content/uploads/Screen-shot-2011-05-08-at-9.16.52-AM-500x209.png
  5. I'm with TT on this one. Payroll's not going to be something we're short on and it's not like there are a ton of quality FAs just waiting to get signed in the next couple of offseasons. I'd rather have Lee at that contract than Timmy at 5 or 6 years. If we don't get an attractive offer for Garza this offseason, there's a possibility of sneaking into the postseason if we keep him and add Lee.
  6. Can this be moved to social? I keep clicking hoping to read more about Byrd.
  7. Kyle Prater was granted eligibility to play for Northwestern this season. Should be a very strong WR corps.
  8. @Evan_P_Grant Sources: Rangers send 3B Christian Villanueva and RHP Kyle Hendricks to Cubs for Dempster.
  9. And Dempster and Maholm are 35, that's really old for pitchers. Like I said before, I'm fine with the Soto trade, just kinda feel like we could have gotten more had we waited. Maholm is 30.
  10. @Kevin_Goldstein Jake Brigham is much more than I would have expected. Writing it up for BP . . .
  11. That's still a veto. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocket_veto
  12. Ah, I didn't see that you had bolded the lower sentence. Carry on. :D
  13. Which is nothing short of an indictment of the state of education in this country. And the "I don't feel the need to practice proper grammar, syntax, spelling, etc. on a message board" shtick is weak. People who practice proper English as a habit don't lapse completely into unformatted gibberish just simply becuase the context is relaxed. They maintain at least a semblance of legible communication. I'd sooner use having Parkinson's disease as an excuse for what you post. Anyone with a master's degree in anything should know the importance of effective communication. People aren't as likely to read, much less take seriously what you have to say when it appears that you simply bashed your head into your keyboard repeatedly and then hit "submit". No one here composes their posts like they are writing a dissertation and we all make mistakes. But your posts are actually painful to read. This is my favorite. That's actually one of the few correct sentences NC has written on NSBB. It's only incorrect when taken out of context, as you've done here.
  14. Tribune: This is quickly turning into a discussion around what Dempster can/can't do!
  15. I was secretly hoping the "What're you doing?" Howry guy would come out of retirement for today's game.
  16. Yes, but it's a grand total of 2 teams. 1/3 of 1/2 of a 12 team conference. Stu's being a little bit dramatic here...
  17. Not sure how serious you were being, but I wouldn't compare the Hendry regime's evaluation abilities to the current one. Hendry was decent at it (at times), these guys are really good at it. True. But was that even Hendry or was it MacPhail? Or, actually, Lynch? I feel like MacPhail's first trade as GM was the Rondell White deal in 2000. Wow, I didn't realize we traded him for Scott Downs straight up. Rondell was injured a ton but when healthy was pretty decent.
