    McCracken, Tippett, Woolner, Studeman. now i dont completely agree with it, to tell you the truth. but there's also problems in the definition as well. thats more of an argument for a different topic.

    i agree, that is cause for concern. but i dont see the fiasco of allowing Hill to figure out his release point at AAA because i really am not worried about whether we'll take the division. Hill is a guy we will lean on the playoffs.

    yes, and the high slugging is fueled by the high BA, fueled by a high BABIP. and I like Hill too. not sure where the dichotomy appeared.

    how are they not? his previous worst for the past 5 seasons was .305. his FIP's actually as good as it's ever been.

    those stats (save bb:k) are skewed in part by a .356 BABIP, good for 7th worst in all of baseball

    nobody wants to sign him, they want to just trade marmol and/or felix for him. i wonder how long until theriot's BA is higher than khalil's OPS Might as well trade Pie for him. Might as well trade Pie for anything. no, might as well make smart baseball decisions. that would be nice.

    Boras is quite happy. He already got the rich long-term deal that extends through the last of his prime years. From an agent stand point, mission completed. he had to settle for a 2 year deal like Furcal's to boost his value and cash in with another big contract. the reports were that Boras was asking for 7/140 from the Braves. that's absolutely inconceivable.

    back in 2005, they looked like a real team to be reckoned with in the future years. so now it's 2008 and they're about to start looking towards 2010. they've got some nice young talent in LaPorta, Gamel, Escobar, Jeffress, Salome and Irribarren and they'll pick up a nice crop of players in the draft but it just really hasn't materialized yet.
