  1. yes, and the high slugging is fueled by the high BA, fueled by a high BABIP. and I like Hill too. not sure where the dichotomy appeared.
  2. how are they not? his previous worst for the past 5 seasons was .305. his FIP's actually as good as it's ever been.
  3. those stats (save bb:k) are skewed in part by a .356 BABIP, good for 7th worst in all of baseball
  4. forget the entire rest of the division they all stink
  5. i now know all too well how brain aneurysms are caused
  6. nobody wants to sign him, they want to just trade marmol and/or felix for him. i wonder how long until theriot's BA is higher than khalil's OPS Might as well trade Pie for him. Might as well trade Pie for anything. no, might as well make smart baseball decisions. that would be nice.
  7. i'll probably barf like eight times this summer if this comes to fruition just randomly during an AB out it comes
  8. nobody wants to sign him, they want to just trade marmol and/or felix for him. i wonder how long until theriot's BA is higher than khalil's OPS
  9. Boras is quite happy. He already got the rich long-term deal that extends through the last of his prime years. From an agent stand point, mission completed. he had to settle for a 2 year deal like Furcal's to boost his value and cash in with another big contract. the reports were that Boras was asking for 7/140 from the Braves. that's absolutely inconceivable.
  10. back in 2005, they looked like a real team to be reckoned with in the future years. so now it's 2008 and they're about to start looking towards 2010. they've got some nice young talent in LaPorta, Gamel, Escobar, Jeffress, Salome and Irribarren and they'll pick up a nice crop of players in the draft but it just really hasn't materialized yet.
  11. he only does that during the playoffs
  12. wow a Felix sighting, I had forgotten he was still on the roster
  13. I consider a player a prospect until he reaches the minimum rookie eligibility (50 IP or 45 days in the bigs). I'm sure Sean will get there this season. yeah, but the question was "best prospect currently in the minors", or else he'd probably be the popular answer.
  14. gallagher isn't in the minors but technically, most guys picked aren't either
  15. i'm surprised Boras hasn't choked him yet
  16. we have the B team out there and poor Ronny still can't sneak into the lineup. but Felix and Gallagher is a good start :D
  17. the probability that kid suffers severe injury before making it to the bigs removed him from consideration for me
  18. this doesn't make a lot of sense. they've already got something of a logjam with Bay, Nady and McLouth in the OF and McCutchen knocking on the door, with Pearce in the picture as well. i would unload Nady this summer and try to sell high on him.
  19. sure lets trade for him so Felix and Ronny can have someone else their own age to talk to all game on the bench. factoring in defense, I'm not really sure I like Lowrie much better than Ronny to give up decent prospects. that said, we really don't even have decent prospects to spare.
  20. but now i lose a save situation for wood on my fantasy team [/annoying douche]
