    Whether we think Pie is ready or not, it is pretty clear by now that Hendry and Fleita think he IS. They have both stated he would have been up this summer if not for the injury. He will get a REAL opportunity in spring training, IMO.

    Lowry with 78 pitches through 4. The Giants used 6 pitchers last night. It could be a big help all series if we can force Lowry out by the 6th.

    If we had just won one game during each of our big losing streaks, we'd be right in it. Sigh.

    I really think Zambrano is like me on MVP 2005. If I lose the possibility of a perfect game/no hitter/shutout early on, I lose focus and give up a bunch of runs. :-)

    That's two clutch DP's hit into by Neifi today. Sure glad he "saved" us in April.

    All signs point to a MAJOR move being made in December or January. We have too much money and there is a substantial amount of pressure on the front office after a dismal season. This move will almost certainly be for an outfielder. My guess is Manny or Dunn. Add Giles, and we're almost Dusty-proof. What should (and with $105 million, could) be: Damon Cedeno Lee Ramirez Ramirez Giles Walker Barrett

    Will they look to add an arm to the rotation or will they cross their fingers w/ Wood again?? I've seen stuff in the paper's about Burnett, but highly doubt the Cubs will ante up for him. We'll have money out the wazoo, tons of pressure on Jim and Dusty to push for the playoffs, and a nice core of talent. If we do not acquire a COUPLE of top-tier players, I will be shocked.

    Regardless of Baker's intentions in the eighth inning today, I have seen him make the same mistake multiple times this season, many coming when Derrek was pushing .400. He thought he was bunting a runner into scoring position for Lee, only to see him intentionally passed for (usually) Burnitz. I also find it interesting that three players missed signs today. Is it possible that the signs weren't clear? Could this be one man's mistake instead of three?

    Grudz right behind the bag at 2nd to turn an RBI single into a double play.
