In my mind this deal further compounds the problem we have. Soriano is Corey with higher slugging%, and without the value of defense at a premium position. (and 4 years older) Delluci IS an upgrade over Hollandsworth, career year or not. (He would still need to be in a platoon, as he is atrocious vs. lefties.) Unfortunately the deal also weakens the pen, which is the deciding factor in my mind. The best thing about this trade is Hairston gets in the lineup, which we shouldn't have to make a deal to achieve.
