  1. You have some serious contract envy. If the Cubs kept Reed would Dusty feel the need to play Grissom instead or does Reed have enough AB's to be Dustyproof? I have absolutely no interest in Clement. I would think the addition of Reed would mean Grissom would not be making the team at all. We don't need 6½ OF'ers
  2. That darn cost of living. Will someone please add 9K to my salary?
  3. Oh no he didn't again... http://forums.gigantour.com/images/smilies/eek2.gif
  4. Run it up the middle, kick the FG. Wait, didn't they already try that once?
  5. I'd say game over, but I saw the last 30 seconds of regulation.
  6. Hmm, another flag. Shocker...
  7. You'd think the coaches would have discussed that with them before sending them out there.
  8. Question of the day: Who will Burnitz enter into serious talks with next?
  9. Penalties: PSU: 8/73 FSU: 12/131
  10. These penalties are really getting old.
  11. That missed extra point sho' is big now...
  12. If Mulholland makes the team out of spring training, he will have played for 11 different teams. 19 seasons? I think that's supposed to be 91. Good for him. He was a monster in '98, and I will always like him for that.
  13. I don't think you have to get stoned to say Eric Karros. I'm not stoned, and I just said it.
  14. 26) #26 will come out of retirement and show these bums how to play
  15. 1) Lateral move. Not much point in making that deal unless you REALLY hate Walker or very much overvalue Kennedy. Whatever. 2) Hmm, re-sign Clement OR trade Walker, Patterson, Hill, and Williams (half of LaTroy) for Ibanez and him? I'll take them both with a grain or two.
  16. No love for Augie? He posted a 429 OBP in '04, for cryin' out loud. Oh, I get it, with Ronny here they need insurance for SS in Des Moines. That's got to be it...
  17. Millar seems to hit righties about as well as he does lefites, so Millar getting starts against righthanders wouldn't be bad....neither would Gonzalez getting those starts if he were healthy. Cleveland took a bad gamble on Juan last season and it failed. I'm not certain he's worth it again, but if he'll sign a minor league deal that pays him 1 million if he's on the major league roster, I don't see it as a bad gamble. Correct -- I intended to expand on that and forgot before I submitted. The part I don't like about Millar is his "versatility". He is not a very good defensive outfielder.
  18. Juan Gone would be wonderful IF he was 100% healthy. Steroids or not, he could flat-out hit not too long ago. Marrero wouldn't be bad if he was used exclusively vs. lefties, but I fear Dusty would get overly excited about his perceived versatility. Same with Millar, only I wouldn't be nearly as upset if he were forced to face righties on occasion.
  19. That makes up IsoP, which is more or less a meaningless statistic. If Juan Pierre had 75 doubles and 30 triples next season, that does not mean he hits with power. Having power, in the purest baseball sense, is the ability to hit a home run.
  20. You want Alford back? He can't coach or recruit. At least we have wrestling, I guess.
