  1. Lots and lots of AUGIE!!!
  2. What if this was a move to replace him with Drew Rosenhaus?
  3. Nope, didn't play the Mariners in 2001. They did take 2 of 3 in 2002, though.
  4. I want the Royals and Devil Rays for 18 each.
  5. 2/15 (too lazy to count the days)
  6. If I stick to the ex-Hawkeye system of rooting for teams, I guess the Panthers are my team now. Then again, he's just a punter... Who cares? Begin the countdown to ST.
  7. Aren't you the one who just suggested signing Marc Kroon? And Williams is bleh to you?
  8. 4.07 ERA / 1.43 WHIP career in the minors? 33 and has only 20 innings of big league experience. Gave up 3 HRs for CO Springs. I don't think so.
  9. Maybe 1920 was right and #11 was the 2002 Cubs...
  10. Seconded. I met Doug and Manny Alexander (yes, Manny) after an I-Cubs/Oklahoma RedHawks game in '03 (Doug was there on a rehab assignment). Doug had a lot of fans wanting an autograph, and he was as pleasant as could be. Manny walked through the crowd and got to the door of the bus without a 2nd look until I spotted him. I shouted "MANNY", and we ended up talking for about 15 minutes. Side note: I ended up drinking 2 of Rod Beck's Coors Lights at his RV behind the center field scoreboard that night. That was a blast!
  11. I didn't realize they still played ball in KC. :D Thanks for the update, especially the part about Guzman. Awesome news!
  12. Yes, it was very much legal and he openly admitted using.
  13. I don't have any numbers, but Busch in the 80's was pretty cavernous. The Cards tried to put a lot of speed on the field (McGee, Coleman, etc.)
  14. No mention of the 2002 Cubs? What a ripoff.
  15. 2.26 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 19/20 in save opps when Izzy goes down.
  16. My answer: Dusty is saying what he thinks fans of teh cobs want to hear. I fully expect him to be up to his old ways when the season begins. I still do not consider him to be a "good manager".
  17. Good thing IMB! sucks worse than I do, or I'd be pretty darn embarassed right now.
  18. I'll be damned, maybe I can get a gig somewhere...
  19. ha, maybe next time I should RTFA Maybe the title of this thread should be updated for accuracy.
  20. Lugo's mediocre, but he's "proven"? Huh? If mediocrity is what you're striving for, why not give Ronny a chance?
  21. Juan Cruz wasn't any more promising. http://www.sincolumna.com/con_columna/cruz/images/foto_personaje.jpg
