  1. I just start crying and then make them buy me beer. I should have thought of that. I killed mine. Your friends? Yep, killed them until they died from it.

  3. That's why they were only mentioned once.
  4. I'm gonna need to see some actual proof to substantiate this wild claim.
  5. http://www.gigantour.com/forums/images/smilies/cry.gif Good enough?
  6. Last year in Des Moines, it was a blast to stand right by the bullpen when he was warming up before the game. When he got loose and let go, a few fastballs were very hard to see. You could see him release, then Soto's glove would pop. Then again, I had a few tallboys in me by that point, so my eyes could have been a bit slow.
  7. Give me a break. This lineup is awful. People are batting out of place and he's playing inferior players over vastly superior players. I haven't seen anything on Jones mentioned in any publications. Please, what 'facts' are we all ingorant of? Actually, Jones is supposedly hurt... Great, he stops sucking for a while and can't play. Just our luck.
  8. Allow me to finish your thought... Not to protect Dusty's decisions, but the only thing I can come up with is speed against Piazza...maybe... a couple of people manage to get on and steal 2nd only to be stranded because they'll never think of trying to steal 3rd and it's virtually impossible to get more than 1 hit per inning.
  9. Remember the "double switch" that he botched a couple years ago when Ramon Martinez belted a double then was called out for batting out of order? Dusty got out of the straight jacket that day. I want to see botched double switch Dusty at some point soon.
  10. Did Hendry even talk to him?
  11. Well, it's not like he's had too many chances to prove himself. Jokes aside, I think Speier is a very good coach and wouldn't mind seeing him given the chance.
  12. I enjoyed watching Nic and became a fan of his when he played in Des Moines, but his numbers left a lot to be desired. I hope he pans out and can contribute, but I will not hold my breath.
  13. Neifi's about as quick as Ron Coomer. What do you mean? Those toothpick legs can pick em up and put em down. Those toothpick legs are being relied on to carry a gargantuan cranium about. I'm not kidding, that boy's head's like Sputnik.
  14. I see only 2 options from the Cardinals' standpoint: 1) 60 day DL 2) Trade him to the Cubs for Rusch
  15. I didn't realize his middle name was "Freakin'". I have lots of man-love for Albert Pujols as a baseball player, but I don't ever need to see the fat slug hitting anything. As a Cubs fan, there's usually not a good result associated with that.
  16. Tell that to the Royals, Devil Rays, and the Royals again.
  17. You know who's a genius? The one who started the thread by making fun of Kruk for being stupid but spelled genius wrong.
  18. Is it Joanne? Regardless, can he actually play defense in the OF? Which positions can he play? If he can keep up the hitting for a few weeks and is not a butcher on D, why not give him a shot?
  19. Maybe Dusty has insider information on a rainout and released this lineup to stroke some egos.
